Brendon Small: The hero of the show, an 8-year-old filmmaker who shoots movies with his friends using his camcorder. In all episodes. Voiced by (surprisingly) Brendon Small.

Melissa Robbins, the voice of reason amoung the three, acts in Brendon's movies. She sometimes acts like a wife to Brendon and a mother to Jason. In every episode. Voiced by Melissa (!) Bardin Galsky.

Jason Panopolis, the immature (re:gross) member of the group, who acts like Melissa and Brendon's baby, acts in Brendon's movies. In every episode. voiced by Will Lebow (101-105) and H. Jon Benjamin (106-present).

Coach Jon McGuirk, a terrible influence on Brendon who has anger management problems, coaches soccer at Brendon's school. In every episode. voiced by H. Jon Benjamin

Paula Small, Brendon's single mother, teaches creative writing at the local university. Paula has tried dating but chose that she'd rather focus on her career and raising Brendon (?and Josie?). Voiced by Paula Poundstone (eps 101-105) and Jeanine Dittulio (eps 106-present).

Josie Small, Brendon's little sister, was in several episodes in the first season but seemingly dissapeared. She's briefly mentioned in "The Wedding". Rumoredly voiced by a dying cat (just kidding).
