| Let us pause in silent tribute - for the brothers gone before who now muster rank-and-file on that distant shining shore. Though their faces have grown dim - in our memory through the years- we still think of them with fondness, sadness, laughter, love and tears. They have fought the "Good Battle" that it speaks of in God's Word- and their deeds shall live forever - though now their voices are unheard. Some passed away in their golden years - and some in the bloom of youth- but in their souls lay a common thread - they lived for honor and truth. Yes they lived the life God granted them - till they followed the setting sun - and pray God that we shall never forget - these good men of two six one. So we gather here to honor these - our comrades who now are gone - but do you hear the rotors whirling - as they take our brothers home? by CD Sliger |
