A buffalo calf with two
heads was born in the central Vietnamese province of Nghe An. This strange
story was reported as follows:
Mr Le Trong Cau in Hanh Tien village, Chau Hanh commune, Quy Chau district, found the calf while he was carrying sugar-cane to Chau Binh market on November 30, 1999 of the lunar calendar. He was told about a she-buffalo which was unable to give birth and died because of a large embryo. He bought the dead she-buffalos uterus, still containing the calf. With his experience in raising calves, Mr Cau was able to save the two-headed calf. The calf is in a healthy condition.
