| A Light At Both Ends | |||||||
We all follow the same road of life, There are turns and curves, change and strife. Some make you veer off the road, fall out of the race, And start a new one, at your own pace. The road is worse, full of bumps and holes, The problems are starting to take their toll. You come to a tunnel, the end seems in sight, You start to have feelings of worry and fright. Stop in the middle and try to think. You realize what you are doing, your heart starts to sink. You see a light at the beginning and the end. Go back to the entrance, there’s a new road ‘round the bend. Go to the end, and fall off the ledge, You try to reach back and grapple for the edge. But you are too late, You chose your fate. Before you die you see all the others, Having fun with their friends and fun with their brothers. Which one should you choose, the death or the fun, Please, o please choose the right one. Ever had a friend who was contemplating suicide? I did, so I wrote this so as to come to grips with why someone would even think about it. Eventually, the person decided not to commit suicide. |
