American Beauty
A blowing bag, billowing in the wind,
Whisking across the way. The curving with
The currents, Shelley’s silent subject is
To thank. The careful cadence, playful path,
And random roll, all bubbling with beauty.

This was a class exercise. We were directed to use sound devices in this one. I chose to write about the bag in the movie American Beauty. This one was one of the few class exercises I didn’t have to force, it actually flowed on its own.
