Alight in the sky
Bright as day
Cascading waves
Pricking pins
Tingling nerves
Wonderment ceases
Depression enters
Chances gone
Like the sun
But stars shine
As far away suns
Fleeting
Forever
Away.
I wrote this one up here at college. I think it was the first poem I wrote in one hell of a long time. I guess I was fooling myself thinking I didn't need to write anymore, that it wasn't any use because I was never going to be good. I wrote this when I realized something about a girlie situation as well as when I realized I need to write because it is an outlet for my emotions thoughts and the like. It works a lot better than punching a wall, let me tell you. Much less pain this way.
