| You love her, like her, Want her and need her. You hope for her, you yearn for her, You wish to always be with her. She is all you ever think about, She won’t get out of your head, And when she is in your presence, Your hunger for her is fed. You feel different without her, You act different around her, You never seem to feel right without her. I wrote this to explain my feelings to myself about this girl I had known for three years. I didn’t title it because I can’t sum up or explain the poem in just a few words. In case you are wondering, I did end up going out with her, Rosemary. In fact this poem had a great deal to do with it. I decided to buy a writing journal and write all my poems into it with this one as the last one. Inside the book, at this poem, I slipped a piece of paper in there telling her how my feelings changed from friends to a little more than friends. It also said that I would like to date her. It was perfect timing, because we were both scheduled to go on a bus trip to Washington D.C. and we had the time of our lives. It was like the trip was a private vacation for the two of us. We broke up I think on St. Patty’s Day,( holiday to holiday, odd huh.) Well, now I haven’t talked to or heard from her in a little over a couple of years. I guess friends shouldn’t date friends. So, if any of you see Rosemary tell me. Or ask her to find a way to get in touch with me cause I have tried just about everything. Thanks. |
