Fatty Lumpkin
	Fatty Lumpkin belonged to Tom Bombadil, who let the pony run free in the Barrow Downs. The pony always calmed the ponies belonging to Meriadoc Brandybuck (Merry), and went along with them back to Bree, where Barliman Butterbur was supposed to care for them. Whem Merry's ponies were let out of the stable, they had run back to Fatty Lumpkin because they were frightened.
