Analysis by Karen: Karen was born on July 27, 1987 in Cairo, Egypt. Her parents, Professors Shariar and Ai'isha Archemides, are the owners, managers and part-time curators of the Cairo Museum of Wizard Artefacts. Karen was three years old when she went with her parents on the tenth dig since she turned a year old. While roaming the dig site, she heard a faint meowing. Following the sound, she turned a corner and found a nearly dead cheetah-like kitten. The kitten, as Karen and her parents soon found out, was not a cheetah, but a rare fire-feline: said to be wizards cursed to have cat-like alter egos. The kitten was promptly given the name of "Horus" by Karen. When he showed her his human form a few years later, it turned out to be for the better, since Karen had no childhood friends her own age and few adult aquiantances. Fortunately, while studying with her parents, Karen became fluent in Arabic as well as learning to read and write in Ancient Egyptian. Due to the nature of her parents' work, Karen was homeschooled before coming to Redwood Academy.

Likes: Horus, hot chocolate, Razvan, art class, lasagna, wolves, cats, reading, archery and writing messages in ancient Egyptian or Arabic in class

Analysis: Horus was found abandoned and near death in Cairo, Egypt by the Archemides family. Unable to turn human because of his infancy, Karen Archemides thought of him as a pet kitten until one day, several years later, he showed her his true, human form. From then on the two were inseperable. Horus still continued to take on his Fire Feline identity but would sometimes revert to a human body when he and Karen knew no one was watching.

Likes: Wearing his sandals to class, rune-magic, broomstick racing, maintaining his humbleness by avoiding social outings and tutoring his classmates.

Dislikes: Being the center of attention, misplacing his spell books, getting ambushed by his classmates’ cats and having girls admire him.
