| chapter 36 Its been a week since i had set everything straight with everybody.We were all in Orlando, i was just getting comfterable in justin's house.It was my new home, at least for now.Thats what i kept telling myself but justin had other plans.He hated the idea of me getting my own place, but since i was there to go to college and i need to save my money, i couldnt afford to get my own place.It was around 10 in the morning when i rolled over in my bed and saw my alarm clock."shit " i said as i jumped out of my bed and ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a quick shower. I put on some jeans and my tommy shirt i had lying on my chair.I ran down the stairs into the kitchen grabbed my keys from the drawer, wrote a note to justin: Hey babe, i know youre wondering where i left to, i woke up late for a interview.I don't know how long im gonna take.i'll call you later on my way home. Luv ya lots! mary I rushed to the front door. i opened and closed the door very gently making sure i wouldnt wake justin up.I jumped into my car, it was a present from justin and the guys, it was my dream car a toyota celica in a metalic blue- the only color justin would buy!! i rushed to the capus parking lot.I pratically ran across the campus and to the admin. bld. to see the dean and see if i was too late to get in for the fall term. when i reached his office it took forever to get a chance to talk to him cuz i missed my apointment and had to wait til he had free time.it seemed like an enternity, but i finally got a chance to talk to him.it was harsh especially since i missed my apointment, but in the end he said i had a chance but it was a slim one,but he said he would take in consideration that i had a high gpa and that i was a very good student.He told me that i would receive word of acceptance or denile within a week or so.I thanked him for his time and walked around the campus for awhile and visited the register area to see what classes they had opened.I walked through the book store and i finally went into the student union to check out financial aid and loans.I also looked through some of the flyers they had on clubs and soroities (sp?) while i was reading about them a girl came up next to me."so you interested in alpha?" "umm.. not sure, see im not into them and im not 100% sure if im accepted yet." "oh well if you are accepted you should come, we help new freshmen with getting around school and making new friends." " well thanks ill see." I said as i walked out of the building and started towards my car.as i opened my door a group of hansom guys walked by and smiled.one of them said,"nice car." i just amiled back and said "thanks." " so you're new here right?" "yeah, kinda of." i said as i closed my door and walk towards the hood of my car and leaned against it."Hi, I'm Alan, I'm a freshmen." he introduced him self with a smile."hi, im Mary and if i'm accepted i'll be a freshmen." I said with a sly smile. " well its nice to meet you and if you ever get lost or need help with anything i'm your man. I've found my way around this campus so if you want a tour, i'm here." he said as he opened his arms." i think i'll take you up on that offer.' "well i need to pick up a book but after that i'm free to give you a tour, you off to a fancy place?" "no, i'm free for the next hour or so." "kewl, then what are we waiting for, let the tour begin.shall we??" He asked and i just nodded."after you." he said as he bowed and extended his right arm out point towards the campus.I just chuckled.he walk next to me pointing out the buildings and explaing which classes where in them.we walked to the book store and bought his book.there was a long line,"so you studying to become a phsycologist??" "yea i like playing with people's minds." I raised my eye brow. "oh really??" "yeah it so much fun." we both laughed."remind me not to get into a arguement with you."he smiled,as he said,"what could we ever get into an arguement about??" i looked to the floor and them back at his hazel eyes."i could think of a few reasons." "hmm.. like what?" "well the fact that you are very flirty with a person you haven't even known for 20 minutes." "well actually its been an hour." he said with a grin. "what? are you serious!" I said as i looked at my watch." I thought you said you didn't have any fance place to go." "I don't i just didnt think it was that late." "late? It's only 4." by this time we were out of the store."well, its been fun but i really have to go.it was nice meeting you." I said as i started to walk off to the parking lot. "hey wait a beautiful girl as yourself shouldn't be walking by herself , why don't i walk you?" "umm..ok sure." so he walked me to my car and we talked and when we got back to my car he asked me for my number. "alan, i really think you're a great guy but i just want you to know i have a boyfriend." "well thats kewl girl, i have a girl too but shes in another college in another state and i don't have many friends." "oh ok then here, call me when you want to hang out or anything." i wrote down my cellphone # and then opened my car door.he closed my door and i started my car."bye." bye." I turned on the radio to hear Mikalas " i'm so in love with two." I just rolled my eyes and changed the station to linkin park's " crawling" I pulled up the driveway and started walking up to the porch when i saw the door open. I look up to see joey, monika,lance,pam and justin walking towards me."hey" i said as i met up with them." hey girl where have you been??" monika and pam asked me. " i've been at UCF, checking the campus and meeting the dean, why whats up?" "well we were waiting for you all day to go to the movie but now we are going to eat and go clubbling you want to come?" "yea just give me a minute to change." "girl we have been waiting all day!" Pam said.i was really tired but i wanted to hang out with my friends."well then go without me then.I'll just stay home.I need to read some of these things over anyways."I said as i waved acouple of thick booklets in the air and then made my way into the house.Justin told them to go on ahead and if i wanted to we'd meet them in the restaurant."mary, whats wrong?" "nothing i said as i plopped down on the couch.just have a lot of things that i have to do if i want to make the deadline for the fall." "well you don't you take a break and come with us?" "no thats ok, i have to fill a lot of forms out, but you can go ahead if you want." "no, i'll stay with you." "justin i know you haved gone out in awhile so go i don't mind, you won't be doing anything here anyways.so go have fun!" " i won't have any fun without you there so come on get upstairs change and we'll go.pleeeeeeeeeease!!!" he said as he made a puppy face."You know i hate that face!!!" "only cuz you can't resist it!!" he said as i got up off the couch and went upstairs to change.5 minutes later i came back down dressed in my lower rider pants with my sparkly belt and my red sleeveless dress shirt."ready!" i shouted as i reached the bottom of the stairs. I looked around and i couldnt find justin. I looked out the window and saw that his car was missing.I thought that was weird.I walked back to the couch to get my purse and i saw my cellphone thrown on the floor.I picked it up and i saw that i had a call but was picked up.i called the number back to hear a familar voice."hello?" "hi." "hey mary what was up with that? " "with what?" "they way that guy yelled about thats how you spent the time at the campus today meeting other guys." "oh im so sorry alan, i just didnt think you'd call tonight.see we were going out and i went to change and - i gotta go!" i said as i hung up and raced to the door and into my car. I sped off trying to find justin."damn you justin, you should know i only love you!!!" i said to myself as i turned the corner.I took out my cell and called the only person i know he'd go to right now.It rang twice before someone picked up."hello?" he asked." hey jc, please tell me you talked to justin within the past 10 minutes and if hes there dont let him kno its me." "hey, monika" he said, letting me know he was there. "jc, you gotta believe me it not what he thinks.i was getting into my car when he approached me and he was just giving me a tour of the campus and showing me everything.I didnt mean for him to call me.he has a girl we were just making new friends.please help me out jc." "hey yeah about that justin and mary wont be able to go out tonight so why dont you gus just go ahead with out them and if you want you guys come come over tomorrow and we'll hang out." I got the hint he was telling me to get over there."ok i'll be there in 2 minutes flat.thanks jc." "alright bye." with both hanged up and i turned aroung and started off in his direction.As i got there i saw justin's car and decided to turn off my lights so he wouldn't know i was there.I called jc again,"hello?' "hey i'm here, right on your porch." "oh hey!listen im tied up right now and- jc i came to you for help and youre on the phone!You are just as bad as mary." i could hear justin in the backround i felt a tear go down my cheek."listen check the mailbox there's a key.he whispered then said gotta go bye." and hung up. i took the key and opened the door slowly and walked in i could hear them-actually justin shouting- coming from the kitchen.i closed the door and walked over very quietly.then i stopped and walked in as justin was saying-"I can't' believe she would do something so dirty!!" "is that what you think??" i asid coming out from behind the wall with tear streaming down my face.justin just looked at me with so much hurt. "how could you do this to me?" he said in a mear whisper as i saw he was crying too."how could i do this to you?? you actually think i have feelings for someone else besides you??you actually think i'd do something like this??I thought you'd know me better, but i guess i was wong." "how can i not think that when you have been for half the day and havent called me or anything.then you get home and you get a call from a guy saying he wanted to know if you could make t to a party his friend and him were throwing?that he really wanted you to come??" "justin he has a girlfriend! He was just showing me around the campus and where everything was." "oh so that took you 6 hours?" "i was late for my apointment to see the dean had to wait til everyone else was done.It took me almost 3 hours to get a chance then another hour talking to him trying to find my way into college.Then i was walking around it was 2 and i went to my car to come home then he walked by he talked to me and offered to show me around and took me to the book store and he got a book and there was a long line.by the time i looked down it was 3:45 i started to leave and he walked me to y car we said our goodbyes he wanted my number to hangout and i didnt mind a new friend.i didnt know hed call so soon.I told him i had a wonderful boyfriend.he said that he was a lucky guy to have me. Damn it, justin i only love you i only have eyes for you!! you have my heart no one else makes me feel like you do!!!" i broke down crying and fell to my knees.by that time justin felt like a huge ass.he came to my side and hugged me."i'm sorry mary.i just flipped when he called.forgive me?" "i just said," i forgave you the minute you hugged me." i wipped away my tears and justin helped me up.I looked at jc who was now sitting down on a stool that are around the kitchen counter."thanks jc." I said."anytime mary,i know you guys belong together." i just hugged him."Yeah thanks man, i think we took enough time out of your night, so we are gonna be leaning." "night." "night." I got back in my car and he got in his car, we both drove back home.As i walked up to the porch justin came up behind me and scooped me off the floor.he opened the door and layed me on the coouch and said,"dont move i'll be right back." he came back with blankets and layed them on the floor as he started the fire in the fireplace.he turned off all the lights and we laed out in front of the fireplace.he wrapped his arms around me and said"i dont ever want to lose you." "dont worry you never will." I sadi as i snuggled closer to him and we kissed passionately.He pulled away from the kiss and kissed me on the forehead."i love you mary." "I love you too.' i said as i yawned.I placed my head on his shoulder and he placed his on top of mine."justin sing me a song." i said in a whisper."ok baby." he whispered back as he started to sing This I Promise You. With those words i drifted off to sleep.I knew my dreams would always be filled with justin and they were always sweet!I loved it when justin would sing to me.I never would have to pick which song, he knew which one that was always right for the moment.i was just glad that i didnt lose him tonight or id be lost without him by my side. |
