Finally the day of our audition came.From the days prior I've been nervous but today was a whole different ball game.I was well over my head nervous being very clumpsy and forgetful of the dance steps.It was getting to me.I had been rehearsing so many hours and I wasn't getting any better.I got fustrated and left the house, walked out to the deck and went for a walk on the beach.It was a beautiful sight since it was early in the morning.I haven't been able to sleep the past 2 days since the audition was the only thing on my mind.After a while of walking I just stood there and looking out into the ocean."what is wrong with me? Last week I had everything down packed and had no trouble.Now I'm a complete mess.There's no way we'll get the gig and It'll be all my fault.damn it!" I shouted as kicked the sand underneath my foot.I was getting a bigger headache as the time passed by.I sat down close to the shoreline.i sat there thinking "god please help me.give me strength to get the steps right and please let us make this audition it's the break we've been waiting for." I sighed and looked down and my feet as i wrapped my arms around my legs and pulled them up close to my chest.I rested my chin on my knees and starred out to the view.(Back at the House.) Justin stirred and moved his hand around trying to feel where mary was.After he couldnt feel her soft skin next to her he turned around to see he was lying there alone.He rubbed the sleepiness from his eyes and got up.He walked around and checked the room where she'd been rehearsing all week."that's weird where could she be??" he walked back up stairs and peeked his head into monika's and aj's room.nothing.he walked down the hall and looked into pam's room.nothing.He began to woory.He walked out to the deck.He continue walking around the deck and then saw footprints on the sand by the foot of the steps.he followed them and when he came to the shoreline he looked up and down the beach.He saw a figure far away from him and started walking towards it not knowing who it was.when he finally got close enough he saw it was who he'd been looking for.He took off his shirt and placed it around her shoulders.Then sat next to her."I was worried when I didn't see your angelic face sleeping next to me." I turned to face him."sorry I didn't want to wake you.just have a lot on my mind." I said turning back to face the water." I know you are stressing yourself over the audition, but i think you are stressing yourself way to much." I turned to look at him with an _expression full of disbelief. " too much??TO MUCH? Let me tell you something justin,everyone knows that if we don't get this gig it's all my fault.Everyone knows that I've been screwing up moves that should be second nature to me.All the girls have everything down except for me.It just kills me to think we finally have our break and I'm in the position to throw it out the window." Justin just wrapped his arms around me,"I'm sorry baby, I didn't realize how much this has gotten to you.I didn't mean to upset you." I placed my hands on his arms that wrapped around my knees."I know,I'm sorry to yell like that,I'm just very fustrated and disappointed in myself." I looked down at the sand and felt like crying.I felt justin nuzzle his head into my neck and say,"baby you know you are a great dancer.all you need is to believe in yourself, have more confidence in yourself, you'll see you'll do great just give yourself more credit." he kissed my neck.I leaned my head against his.We sat there for a couple more minutes."I think we should head back I have a last minute run through to do with the girls." He stood up and helped me up.As we walked back wrapped up in eachother I looked at him smiled and kissed him passionately.After I pulled away he looked at me,"what was that for, not that I'm complaining or anything." I smiled,"because no matter what's going wrong in my life you always know how to brighten up my day and you are the one person that believe in me more then I do and I love you so much for that!!" I hugged him tightly.He smiled and kissed me,"I love you too!" I looked at him with a smile on my face,"hey i got an idea." he looked at me with a curious face,"oh reall? and what would that be??" I let go of his hand and said," race ya back!" And i took off running towards the house.He ran after me,"NO Fair You got a head START!!!" I heard him shout behind me. I just turned to look at him and stuck my tongue out at him and kept running.As I ran up the beach I found myself getting slowed down by the huge sand piles.I turned to look back at Justin and s i did I let out a little gasp.For Justin was right behind me and scooped me up in his arms."got ya!!!" He said with a big smile on his face.He slowed down to a walk."aren't you going to put me down??" I asked after a while. " nope I like having you in my arms." I smiled,"alright I kinda like the feeling being swept off my feet adn carried away." Once we got back to the deck he placd me on my feet.We walked back into the kitchen and both had a light breakfast.A bowl of cereal.After I finished I walked upstairs to find the rest of the girls.i found hem all in monika's room dancing to Nelly's "hot in herr" I just walked in and joined the party.After the song was over I turned the radio down."girls we have one more practice and then we'll all get ready." They nodded in agreement and went their ways to get into their dance gear, which were practically the same clothes they wore for the gym. We all met up as we called it the dance room.Before they walked in I began my streching routine.They all joined in and after a good warm up we placed the cd in and began our run through. We practiced for almost two hours.After we all agreed to call it quits we all went to the kitchen for some water.I took a bottle and then bolted up the stairs and into the shower. After another hour we were all showered and getting ready.Justin had left while we were practicing.He told me he was meeting up with the guys and left me the keys to his escalade.We all piled into justin's rom and used it as our dressing room.Monika was busy doing her makeup along wth mine.Pam was helping aj do her hair.Within the hour we were done and jumped into the car.As we drove to the studios we all talked about the other 4 groups and what they would be like. Once we arrived at the studio our stomachs tighten up and butterflies flew wild in our stomachs.I grabbed monika's and Aj's hand."Guys, my nerves are starting up." "girl you can do this." Aj said giving my hadn a squeeze. "don't worry about it you'll do great like you did this morning." Monika reassured me.I took a deep breath before i walked into the studio.I went up to the recptionist,"hi I'm mary and we're here for the audition today." "Oh yes, just go on in to the confrence room. johnny's waiting for you." "thank you." I said as we walked by her desk and down the hall. The closer we got the more I was having second thoughts about this.As soon as we entered the room I wanted to turn around and run out."hey johnny." I managed to say as i sat down along with the girls."I'm glad you;re here girls, your audition is next up.i heard from the guys how hard all of you been working on it especially you mary.I've been looking forward to it all week." We all smiled."well we've been lookind forward to this day." Aj said. "good,well if you girls couls wait here a second I have to go itno the dance room and see this group audition.I'll be right back." "ok." Pam said as he left the room.I looked down and started taking deep breaths. "Alright guys lets say a silent prayer before we go in." I said softly.we all held hands as I led the prayer."dear god please give us stregnth and watch over our audition and let everything go as planned.Lead us oh lord with your might.amen." "amen." they said in unison.He all smiled at eachother, reassuring everyone."girls your up!" Johnny said opening the door for them to follow him out."alright lets do this!" Aj said jumping up.He all held hands as we walked down the hall and into the room.As we entered we saw that there was a small stereo in the corner and all the sides were covered by mirrors."umm johnny where are the judges??" I asked seeing only one chair. "well due to the fact of who the judges are they wanted to keep their identity a secret. Therefore they are watching the groups through the camera there in the corner." he said as he pointed the camera out. we all smiled and waved. "get in position and start when you are ready." he said as he placed a clipboard and pen in front of him.We huddled together,"we can do this." I whispered as we got into our spots and the music started.We performed 3 songs.At the end of the last one we took a bow and walked over to the side of the room by the door.Johnny stood up and walked over."alright girls ou did great.I'm going to go talk to the other judges and we'll bring you girls back in within the hour.ok?" "alright.we'll go get some drinks out of the vending machine.thanks for everything johnny." he smiled."no problem girls.I'll get you when its time." we nodded and walked out. Johnny headed towards another room and walked in making sure noone could look inside.We all got drinks then sat down in the waiting room. "hey guys?" Pam said."yeah?" Aj looked at her."Johnny said there were other groups trying out right??" "yea." I said catching her drift."then where are they??" Pam said getting up. We all looked at eachother confused.I walked up to the recptionst."excuse me but where are the other acts trying out??" "oh..uhhhhhh...well johnny has them in....ummmm...seperate sitting areas so theres no trouble." She said looking down at some papers. "oh ok." I said as I walked back and sat down."well?" pam said."they have them sitting in different areas." "oh ok." "but when they gave us a tour around the place they didnt have any other sitting areas." we all stayed quiet."maybe they have them in the recording studio?" Aj suggested. "maybe this is a set up." Monika said out of nowhere. We all looked at her like shes nuts.Then we turned our attention to johnny who came out of the room and walked towards us."girls can you please meet me in my office,I'll be there in a moment." We nodded and headed to his office.we all sat down and waited for him to come in."well girls,I was really impressed by your performance and it seems I wasn't the only one.I'm going to open the door and reveal to you who the other judges were." He stood up and opened the door as soon as the "judges" walked in we all felt our mouths hit the floor. "are you kiddin me??" I said getting up and walkin over to them."you guys were in on this since the beginning??" I asked.They all had big smiles on their faces as the nodded.I just stood there amazed. "well we think you girls are just what the doctor order.Congradulations you made it." Joey said. "WELCOME TO THE TOUR!!!!" They all shouted.we jumped up in excited and screamed.We hugged everyone."well looks like we are going out tonight!!!" JOey said excitedly.We all laughed."you can celebrate after we talk about contracts and the tour." We all walked to the confrence room and sat down.johnny gave eachone of the girls a big stack of papers and on the front page it said Jive Records Contract. We all read over it and went over it then signed it. "you girls now are part of the Jive Family welcome." Johnny said shake our hands."It feels good to be be part of this family." I said happily.He went over the tour and what was expected out of each day once on the road and the arrangments on the bus.an hour and half later we walked out of the jive building,all smiling faces.We all met up at justin's house to go out that night.While everyone was downstairs I took justin by the face and kissed him."hmmm.I can get used to this.'' He said as i pulled back."I bet, but this time it was just cuz You are the greatest guy I can ever ask for."He smiled and placed his hands inside my back pockets."And you my dear are the most beautiful angel that I have in my life." With that he leaned down and kissed me."GUYS!!!!!! WE HAVE A PARTY TO GET TO!!!!!" Chris yelled from downstairs. I started laughin as I pulled away."is there any good time we can kiss without getting interrupted by someone??" We both laughed as i fixed my makeup a bit before heading downstairs.We split up into two cars.me and Jutsin in his porche adn everyone else rode in Lance's lexus suv. Once at the club we celebrated like there was no tomorrow.It was a night full of fun.We took our turn dance with everyone.Our smiles never left our faces. |
