Chapter 7 Megan: excuse me did you just say baby Doctor: yeah you didn’t know Megan: no, thank you Doctor: eat right and come back in 2 months for a check- up on your baby Megan went home and cried her eyes out because Justin and her had been so careful and not to get pregnant. Megan and Justin wanted a family but not at this point because of their careers and the public. Justin came home later that night and went upstairs to see Megan because it had been a week since he left. Justin: baby what’s wrong Megan: I love you and I’m so sorry Justin: I love you too baby what’s wrong Megan: me… Doctor… Justin: what happened are you all right Megan: I’m fine but I have to eat right Justin: that’s not why you are crying is it Megan: no, you love me right Justin: of course baby you can tell me Megan: here let me see your hands Megan had put them over her stomach and Justin still didn’t get the clue because he had no idea Megan: (crying) I’m…I’m…. Justin: your what Megan: pregnant Justin: you are, I thought we were careful Megan: we were but those 5 times I guess something happened… I’m so sorry Justin: no honey this is what we wanted is to start a family Megan: yeah I know but what about telling everybody. Justin: we can go up to Memphis to tell everybody tomorrow Megan: are you mad at me Justin: no honey, you know that we have always wanted to start a family and it takes 2 to create a beautiful creature that’s inside of you and we’ll love it like nothing ever happened Megan: that’s why I love you Justin kissed Megan on her lips and then kissed her tiny stomach The next day they were all over Megan’s old house to tell the parents Lynn: is something wrong Karen: Megan you don’t look so good did you go to the doctor’s yesterday Megan: yeah I did and I found out something Mike: what is it honey Justin: we’ll tell you as long as you all don’t get mad because we didn’t exactly plan this to happen Megan: (small voice) I’m pregnant Lynn: (tears in eyes) you are Karen: are you happy Megan: yeah I’m sorry mom we didn’t plan this at all, we want to have a family but it kinda just happened Justin: just to let you know we did use protection Mike: honey congratulations Megan: thanks daddy Paul: Justin you take care of her while she’s pregnant because I want a healthy grandson or grand daughter Justin: so you guys aren’t mad Lynn: yes a little but you 2 are 20 years old and can decide when you want a family you can have one and we all thought it would of came last year. The next 9 months would be torture for all 5 guys because they would wait hand and foot on her. The date for the wedding is set at April 28. 2004. Just 3 months away. Megan still hadn’t found her dress for the wedding. It was April and now Megan was 5 months pregnant and you couldn’t tell that much. Megan was supposed to take it easy. It was April 4 and that was Megan’s birthday. Megan was turning 22. They had a great party. They had the party up at the hotel in northern Florida with must of her friends. On the fifth they were back home. It was 3 in the morning and Justin rolled over to see that Megan wasn’t in bed yet. He walked downstairs to the den to find Megan sleeping over her lab top. She had been doing that for the past 2 weeks to finish up Souls record. She managed them and they were hot off the market. She wasn’t singing as much anymore. She had put out 5 albums and wanted to help people get started so she started American Productions and she had currently 4 artists on there. Megan wasn’t aloud to do much because she didn’t want to harm the baby. The couple got up and went to the doctor for a check- up. She was doing an ultra sound Doctor: ok, rights now your pains are because the baby is pushing on you’re  Uterus too much. I want you bed rest until your wedding and after that ok. Megan: thank you Doctor: do you want to know the sex Megan: yeah I do Doctor: it’s a girl Megan: thanks Megan was almost in tears because she wasn’t aloud to leave her room. She was in a wheel chair 1 week later at the bridal shop with her bride maids. They were Britney Spears, Jen (Megan’s brothers wife), Jessica (Carol’s daughter from the mountain) and Holly (Road Rules girl). Megan had to be put on bed rest and she had to go out to get the dresses. They ended up picking a baby blue dress that went to the floor. It was tight around the chest and stomach area and they were spaghetti strap dresses. Megan and Justin’s final list of people were 800 and it was going to be a big wedding. Megan had found a dress that Tommy Hilifiger could do. It was tight around the stomach but it made her look skinny. It was white and the train came well past the floor. Her vale was perfect and that day would be perfect. Megan went back in for a check- up a week before the wedding Doctor: all right Mrs. Quann your baby turned enough to stop the pressure so that’s a good thing. Your all right to walk but I would like it if you kept off your feet as much as you can Justin: don’t worry I’ll keep her grounded Doctor: thank you and I expect to see you in here in a month and a half Megan: ok bye A week and a half later Justin and Megan were separated for the night. In the morning the girls took their curlers out of their hair and hair sprayed it. Then all the make- up was done. Justin hadn’t seen the dresses yet so it was going to be a surprise. Megan was feeling really good for once. Karen: Lynn look how fast our kids grew up Lynn: I know Karen: at least Mike likes Justin or he would have his head Lynn: oh I know I wouldn’t have liked it if he was marrying someone else at this young. Karen: they are going to grow up and love each other.
