Chapter 7 His mother was really shocked but knew she had to go because she wasn’t wanted here anymore. All through the night Justin laid by her bed. In the morning the doctors brought Justin JR. In to sleep, He had no internal bleeding. Justin was happy for that. Justin held his baby for awhile trying to see how much he loved the baby and Megan. All Justin’s band mates tried to get him move from Megan’s side but he shut them out of his life. Megan was in her coma for the next 2 weeks and Justin only left her room twice to talk to the doctors. Megan didn’t look any better. The doctors discovered more internal bleeding in Megan so she went back up into surgery. During that JC finally got Justin to go home and take a shower and change. He hurried back. For the next week Justin was still by Megan’s side and never gave up. Megan ended up having a broken ankle, fractured wrist, broken elbow, internal bleeding, scratches, and bruises. Oh yeah she was also in a coma. Justin was torn apart by this, he still hasn’t talked to his mother. Justin was thinking if Megan didn’t survive then Justin didn’t have his passion for singing again and he would quit to spend time with Justin Jr. The doctors were trying to tell Justin that Megan was brain dead. They did this test to see if Megan was still alive. They took the air off and waited for 20 seconds to see if Megan would be alive. It was 19 seconds and Megan took her first breath. Justin knew that his girl would make it. Justin didn’t care what she, as long as she was alive. That was enough for Justin to sing and be brave for Megan and Justin. It was late one night when Justin fell asleep besides Megan. He was in this wonderful dream about marring Megan and then he woke up because someone was hitting him. He opened his beautiful baby blue eyes to find Megan trying to get his attention. Justin: Megan honey hold on let me get the doctor. Megan nodded her head to wait for Justin to come back. Doctor: hi Miss Chasez. I would take the ventilator off but I want to make sure your all right. Megan nodded her head again and was kind of smiling but in pain. She signaled for paper and pen. It read Hi, I am in total pain- very sloppy and the doctor gave Megan some more painkillers. She wrote again Justin I love you but where’s Justin JR. Did he die- she had a tear running down her cheek. Justin whipped it off and reassured her that Justin was sleeping peacefully right next to her. Megan was still in much pain and she wanted to see Justin jr. Justin got the baby from the hospitals small crib and sat down beside Megan. You could see the gleam in Megan’s eyes come back for the second time when she saw Justin holding the sleeping Justin Jr. The whole afternoon no one knew about Megan being out of her coma besides the doctors and Justin. JC just walked in. JC: hey J, the doctors have good news for you but he wouldn’t tell me yet J: you mean this great news about Megan waking up from her coma? JC: Oh my gosh, Megan how are you J: yo JC she still can’t talk JC: sorry man Doctor: sorry to interrupt your chitchat, but I am going to take the tube out of Megan JC: oh Sorry Doctor: that’s ok, Now Megan I need you to take a deep breathes one the count of three OKs Megan shook her head yes. The doctor said one, 2, 3 and she coughed up some crap. She was still in a lot of pain Doctor: I want you to take it easy on talking and your recovery will be a hard long one and you have to be willing to work Megan: (whispering) I know I will work Doctor: I am going to leave now ok Justin: I love you Megan: me too, ow Justin: you ok Megan: yeah, what happened to me Justin: you were in a very bad car accident, you were in a coma for 3 ½ weeks, you have a broken ankle and elbow, fractured wrist, and you had internal bleeding twice but they stopped that Megan: oh my, I’m sorry Justin: that’s ok it wasn’t your fault JC: hey girl Megan: hey, how you been doing JC: ok, but not into much until now because of you Megan: that’s good, Justin did your mom get mad at you after I left Justin: no but I’m mad at her and I yelled at her awhile ago Megan: I’m sorry about not telling you about everything before Justin: that’s ok JC: you told him about the car wreck Megan: yeah and how I raised Connor, oh yeah where is he JC: with Joey back at the house Megan: you left Connor with Joey JC: yeah but I have to call him to bring him up with the rest of the guys, so I am going to let you 2 talk Megan: ok Justin: just on question, why didn’t you ever tell me that you were a great swimmer Megan: because you would have asked the whole story why I don’t swim anymore Justin: I’m sorry Megan: no don’t be, It’s my horrible life Justin: its not horrible, the past was and it’s not the past anymore *Flashback* It was the day of the funeral and Megan prepared a speech. Megan: (crying) First off I want to thank all of you for coming and my family would have appreciated it. I prepared something to say. I remember the bad times; I remember the good times. I miss you now and every time I think about you. I love you now and forever. WE grew up together and I loved you for that, Just when things were getting good you took a turn for the worse. I know you would want me to be strong (pause of crying) but I know I can’t. I am missing something that no one could ever replace, no matter how hard they try. Some where and some one will help me talk about you but until then I can’t be strong. (Pause for crying) I just wish I could have said well bye and for now it’s good bye, until its time for me to go. It’s been great. (Crying) *End of Flashback*
