Chapter 4 JC looked at Sarah. "Who hurt her? Why isn't he dead? Why didn't someone tell me? Where does he live? Can I go kill him?" An undescribable rage and jealousy filled his mind, making it unable for him to think clearly. "JC, you don't want to know," Briana said "And we promised Sam we wouldn't do anything to him or tell anyone." "You can tell me. I'm one of her best friends." "We aren't going to," Sarah said. JC looked at Chris. "Chris, dude, you get it out of her, and tell me." "We aren't telling any of you," Bri said. "Sam would kill us, herself, or run away, or something like that." "There's nothing I don't know about her," JC said. "You can tell me." Sarah looked at JC. "JC, babe, there's plenty you don't know about Sam. We aren't telling and that's final." "Please?" JC begged, getting a puppy dog look on his face. "NO!" the girls said at the same time. "Fine," JC said, pouting. "I'll just go look through her things and try to find something on the dude." He got up and walked to her room. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, JC" Sarah called. "Sam's going to kill you." "Yeah right." Sarah shook her head. "He's going to regret it." She shrugged her shoulders "Oh well. Not my fault. So where are you and Sam going, Justin?" "I'm not sure," Justin replied. "Can you recommend a place?" JC stood in the middle of Sam's room. "Where would she keep her diary?" he mused aloud. He knew she kept one. He'd seen her writing in it before. JC walked over to the dresser and pulled open the top drawer. It was filled with bra's and panties. There were dozens of them, in every material imaginable, and every color of the rainbow. JC stared at them for a minute, then started searching the drawer. There was nothing but her underwear in the drawer, so JC closed it and opened the second drawer. It was filled with more bra's, panties, along with garter belts, garters, stockings, teddies. JC picked up a dark blue lace teddy and stared at it in shock. He never knew Sam wore things like that. And hopefully, no other guy will ever know, he suddenly thought. JC shook his head. Lately he'd been thinking the strangest things about Sam. JC put the teddy back and searched the drawer, looking for her diary. Finding nothing, JC closed the drawer. The third drawer was willed with more lingerie, mostly nightgowns and teddies. Silk, satin and lace, they were every guy's fantasy. After searching that drawer, JC opened the fourth. It was filled with pj's and clothes that she hung around the house in. Still he didn't find her diary. The next drawer was filled with tank tops and other tops. The sixth was filled with more tops and shorts. JC walked over to the night stand. It had two little drawers in it, but they were just filled with pictures, letters, pens, and stationary. JC sighed and stood up, walking over to her desk. Her diary wasn't in any of the drawers or on the shelves. JC plopped down in the chair, staring at the computer. He turned it on, hoping she did all of her writing there. Sam always preferred computers over writing things out. That's why she wanted a laptop, so she could be laying in bed and type. JC searched through her files. He found a program entitled "Diary" but when he tried to open it, it asked for a password. "Damn," JC muttered, typing in anything he could think of, each time it said "incorrect password." "Come on, you stupid computer. She won't mid if I see. After trying dozens of times, JC gave up, although he didn't want to. An emotion he couldn't describe filled his heart. He wanted to kill the asshole who hurt her. Sam stared at her hands, resting on the steering wheel/ The diamond caught a ray of sun, flashing fire. Sam usually never wore rings, other then her class ring, which she wore on the middle finger of her right hand. She wanted to take JC's ring off; it hurt her beyond belief but she'd promised and Sam always kept her promises. Sam pulled up in front to Destiny's house and got out of the car, grabbing her bag from the back seat. She walked to the front door and knocked. Destiny let her in. "You're late." Sam laughed. "Sorry my friends kept me. They wouldn't let me go." "You can hang up your clothes in my closet if you want. Are you wearing a dress?" "Yep, I found it a month ago, when I went prom dress shopping and fell in love with it. But it wasn't formal enough for prom so I got it for graduation." Sam unzipped the bag and pulled out her dress. It was a spagetti-strapped, knee length silk dress. A lone, fully grown dragon in flight made of dark green and gold watched over her children, who played along the hem. They were silver. The contrast between the dark green, gold and silver was perfectly displayed on a background of black. "It's really low cut, but I don't care." Sam said. " I fell in love with it." "It's really beautiful," Lillian said. "And you are probably the only person who could pull it off. Gold and silver don't really go together." "I don't care. I love both colors , and of course the black. The green's ok, but doesn't go with the graduation gowns." "I hate our stupid gowns. YELLOW! UGH!" Destiny exclaimed. "It makes me look sick and depressed." "I just look like a huge fat banana," Lillian said. "Yellow makes me look washed out and pale." Sam said "I cannot wear yellow. But that's life. Just think we'll never have to deal with the high school again. Well except for reunions but that's it." Sam walked to Destiny's room and put her dress in the closet. "Are you two ready to go to lunch?" "Yep." Lillian said," Because after lunch we go home, shower, then go to the salon and come back here." "Can't wait," Destiny said. "Who's car do we want to take?" "How about we meet at the restraunt?" Sam said. "That way, we can go home from there. We need to be at the salon by three, and although it's only eleven, we're going to take forever eating, and then I know I'm going to soak in the tub." "Yeah, we should all drive there," Lillian said. She'd come over earlier that day, dropping off her car. Sam had picked them up before practice. "And we won't have to drive out of our way to drop anyone off." "Okay, then we'll meet at the restraunt in ten minutes." Destiny said, grabbing her keys and wallet. "See you then." They walked out of the house and piled in their cars. |
