feast
a plethora of flavors
laid out before me
flesh
scented with sweat
and cigarettes
delicate
sweet and salty
addictive like the nectar
that has brought death to you
and to me.
and i will feast no longer
on your pulse
on your heartbeat
swooning and throbbing
to meet you
delicate
and delicious
forever burned away
blasted
without the touch of a lover
in your final hour
in which you feasted
alone. upon the mortality
you deplored
and the melancholy which
I abhorred
you twisted to meet Death
as i once twisted to meet
your lips and you once twisted
a shoelace to meet
serenity
delivered needle to vein
addicted to the nectar
that brought naught but bad news
the tracks of a
million hopeless nights
i traced them and cried
you deserved better in my hands
you have twisted and burned
away from me
and i will feast
no longer
as you slumber
i hunger.
