Before the game we went down to Maverick's (the card shop in St. John's) to see if we could get some more cards for the game, so we got a nice few cards which would come in handy later on... It was an awesome game, a game of the goalies (Dipietro and Tellqvist) but St. John's came out with the 4-2 win. So after the game we are waiting inside the gate for some players to come outwe were gettin out stuff out and getting ready when Brandon Smith came up, at first we did'nt really pay attention to him because it said that he had been scratched for the game and we didn't think he was there but after another look we went for him, I got him to sign my composite and a card and Darren got him on a card. A few players started coming out that, unfortunently, looked like some of the players we were trying to get, so one thing led to another, and let me just say that we ended up looking like a bunch of jackasses, but thats ok because Trent Hunter and Sven Butenchon came out next, I got Sven on my composite and then Hunter on a card, Darren got Hunter on two cards and an IC for Paul Buxton, but while I was waiting for Hunter, I was talking with Butenchon and he is a REALLY nice guy! I wish I had more for him to sign but I didnt find any cards of him anywhere, he was looking at some of the cards I got and was reading em and stuff and making comments, hopefully we will see Sven again tonight. Next came Dipietro and Valiquette who never stuck around long but Dipietro did sign two cards for me plus i got him on a practice puck that hit me at the AHL All-Star game, Darren got him on an 8x10 but didnt get him on the cards he had (we are going again tonight so I dont say it will be to hard to get him again, plus I have 3 more cards for him to sign). Valiquette signed three for me and three for Darren, including one for Darren's set. Alan Letang came out next and unlike earlier, it actually was him (see the part above about looking like Jackasses lol). He came out while we were pretty much still getting Rick and Steve so we had to rush to get those autographs out of the way and pull out our Letang stuff, it was a big mess but we still got him, I got him on two cards and my composite and Darren got him on two cards (one of which was for his set). That was it for the night, we got what we came for so Darren went and called our ride, while we were waiting, we noticed that there was players coming back from the hotel to the stadium or coming from the hotel and pretty much just roaming the streets, probably on their way to Mardi Gras which was on the go last night as well! Anyway, both me and Darren got Jason Hamilton on an index card and Darren also got Brad Leeb on an index card, it was a pretty good night, as you can see, our autograph count is getting higher each game so hopefully we can keep it up! Tonight we are mostly going for the game but if we get the chance, we are gunna try and get some more auto's, I am mainly gunna try to get Dipietro on those other 3 cards that I have and also to get my composite signed by the other players that havent signed it yet. Darren is also going to try and get Dipietro on the cards that he didnt get signed.
