| Well it was our first houunding opportunity of the season and we were pretty excited. We went in a watched the home opener and both goalies made Awsome saves (Tellqvist and Moss) and there were alot of great Goals. St. John's came out with a 5-4 win. We went out side to wait for the players and it was too cold so we went inside the gate. The Lady working there was very nice and let us stay in there and she even waited there until we left, (if it was anyone else they probobly would of told us to wait outside). Hopefully she is there again Friday and Saturday. A few players came out and we didn't really know who they were, its alot harder to recognize AHL players then NHL becuase they are not as well known. We asked a guy if a few players like Stan Smyl, Moss, Auld, Bouck and guys like that were down there and he said Smyl just left so we missed him. I really wanted to get him but its too bad we missed him. anyway after a while Zenith Komarniski came out and I got one signed by him. He seemed pretty nice about it but none of the players were very talkitive. The next guy to come out was Tyler Bouck, he was definatley the more gracious signer out of them all, I got Four from him and Matt got one. Then after another while Brandon Reid came out and I got him on one card and I couldn't get my 8x10 out so I didn't bother to ask him to wait...(my hands were frozen and i couldn't move..lol), and Matt got him on the 8x10 he had. He seemed to be another nice signer, unfortunatly he smudged my card a tiny bit when he passed it to me. Kariya came out and I got him on two cards and Matt got him on two cards, and he wasn't too happy about it. His ego is getting to him and he is becomming a Jack ass. Then Tyler Moss and Alex Auld came out together Matt went and Got Moss on two cards while I got Auld on a RIC for Paul Buxton and a Card for myself. and then Matt Got Auld on a card and I got Moss on a card, that way they were too busy signing for the us, to leave, before we could get one of them ...lol. We waited for another bit and Ponikarovsky and Cereda came out for some reason, its not often they come out of the visiting teams exit, they usually go out the side entrance anyway I had a Leafs puck but It was in my book bag since I wasn't expecting for them to come out and I didn't bother to get it out, I can get them almost anytime anyway. After another 10mins wait or so Matt called for our ride and we waited after another 10mins or so of waiting (1 hour+ after the game ended) Jeff Farkas Decides to come out, this was a surprise to us considering it was WAY after the game. I guess he wanted to get rid of the crown (which was me and Matt)..lol...he cae out and Was glad to sign, I got him on a 1999 NCAA magazine for Ryan Tierney, and Matt got him on 2 cards. That was a pretty good outing for our first time out for the season and our best outing yet. We are getting better tripling our highest total for a regualr game (not including the AS Game). Overall a good outing. |
