Halloween 2003
Our Halloween party was a busy time. We did some fun centers and then had a yummy snack. Here are a few photos of our busy afternoon.
Out in the hall the kids played pictionary, had an eyeball race and played Trick or Treat.
Before the party began we did a reader's theater of The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything
First we estimated how many seeds were in our pumpkin. Then we practiced place value by counting them by tens.
Here we see our beautifully painted mini pumpkins!
On the rug the children played Halloween Tic Tac Toe and Grab the Ghost.
At the desks the children decorated sugar cookies and made witch's hats out of a Keebler cookie and a Hershey kiss. We ate these treats for snack along with veggies and dip and punch.
