Bearded Dragons

I keep three eastern bearded dragons all of which are adults and feed quite well on roaches. One of the three will commonly display her beard but has never bitten and the others have great temperment. Keeping bearded dragons has been great, I keep them all in an outside pit and occasionally i will sit down where they cant see me but I can see them and watch them play. The large male is dominant and will not hesitate to show this if the other beardies don't back down (he has bitten the stupid female on a number of occasions) and then other two always do their arm waves and once I have seen the large female run up to the male while he was head bobbing and pin his head down with her arm, do arm wave, then run off. Whether this was just being a smart ass or a challenge for dominancy I dont know but I will tell you now it was very amusing.
Beardies are a MUST to keep, they are a pleasure to watch and very hardy.

Blue Tongued Lizards

The good old Bluey is also another favourite of mine, I currently have a breeding pair and are great feeders, these lizards are so easy to feed they can eat your dinner left overs. My male is currently a bit beaten up because the female is almost twice the size of him. The one thing I have noticed about the keeping of blue tongues is when there is a change in conditions whether it be where I am keeping them or a new addition to them they start showing dominance by walking over the top of one another, puting their foot in their face and stuff like that to check how far they can push each other before it gets to fighting and biting point. Although sometimes you can get the occasional nasty lizard blue tongues are very placid and make good pets.

Carpet Python

Carpet pythons are the basic python, get medium sized, good temperment and easy to feed. Well this was not quite the case with mine, my carpet python would not feed for the first 2 or 3 months! she ( I think its a she ) would do everything but eat the mouse, one time I found her curled around a defrosted pinky sleeping! Until one day I had to use the last resort, live food. It worked like a charm!!! Never turned it down and is recently taking defrosted food. She is growing quite well, she is 4.5 feet long and about 1 year old and has just the right fattness in her, I am still meaning to get a fluorescent light for her but I never seem to be able to round up the money. Her temperment started off great but just lately she has been really jumpy. Not biting but she will brake every bone in her body before leaving her cage, once out she is fine but getting her out is beginning to be a problem.
