Menorca (August 2001)

Just a few snaps of our holiday in Menorca where we met up some of our Staindrop friends We travelled with the car on the ferry from Valencia to Menorca ('Trasmeditteranea')

Aboard the 'Trasmediterranean' ferry arriving in Mahon. The crossing takes 13 hours and also stops off  in Palma (Majorca). We only had tourist seats which were quite uncomfortable but the swimming pool on the top deck and the holiday camp style entertainment in the bars kept us occupied for quite a few hours and sleeping bags on the floor were order of the day on the return trip!

At the villa with the gang eating spanish style under the vine, by the pool. We stayed near Sant Luis, not far from Mahon.

The girls at Cala Galdana one of the smaller and  busier but more attractive beaches on the south of the island.

The remote and windswept northern shore.  Fantastic rugged coast can be found after only a 'few' kilometres of very unmade road!
