Les Ballets des Monte Carlo is an interesting company to work with for the dancers, and also a big job, as they are touring around the world quite a lot, which gives the dancers a fantastic posibility to see the world, but this is, of course also then difficult to have a "normal" family life. However The dance life is unfortunately a short life, and therefore it must be a challenge to work with such an international company for some years. This season as many as 12 new dancers from all over the world will attend the company. To see their names, go in to the web side of Les Ballets des Monte Carlo, where you also will find a lot of interesting news else about the company.

From One Side to Another
This new production is the resolt of a deep complicity between the muscally inclined choreographer who creates and directs his movements o the letter of the notes, and a composer who, at the request of the choreographer, writs th score using 78 musicians of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, then recomposes it electronically, daily monitoring the evolution of the choreographic process.
On the path where he constantly meanders from one side to the other,
Jean-Christophe Maillot takes a pause: whether classic or contemporary; narrative or abstract and he asks his public to evolve with him during each step of the way, to place enough confidence in him to provide the element of surprise.
