Adventures in Belgium |
After getting a little settled, we made a day trip to Gent, Belgium. We headed out on Sunday morning, January 12, 2003. As you can see, it was a beautiful, blue-sky day, but quite chilly. Gent is a wonderful Flemish city and the people were very kind. |

The castle in Gent, called Gravensteen, is wonderful. It's small enough that it's not overwhelming, but interesting and fun for the kids! |

Vrigdagsmarkt - a great place to park (underground) and a great place to see guildhouses. |

The kids loved the medieval toilets. A 10-year-old boy just can't resist being disgusting here! |
