					Locate Brookville on the map since this will be the starting point. Drive north on PA 36 to Cooksburg, its about 13 miles. At the fork in Cooksburg take the right onto Vowinkle Rd. Drive north and you will come to the parking area for the Log Cabin Inn Visitor Center.

						My first trip to Cooks Forest was a canoe trip right after I graduated from highschool and I have been drawn back to this park again and again. What can I say to get you to believe this place is a kick ass? Well: 17 trails, 30 miles of hiking, horseback riding, bumper cars, swimming pool, theater, craft center, 226 camp sites, 23 cabins, fishing, canoeing, tubing, swimming, sledding, cross country skiing, ice skating, and the Baker Trail crosses through along with the North Country Scenic Trail. There are old growth forest, rivers, cliffs, hills, and fire towers to climb. Well, back to the hiking, I have found a map on the Crook Forest site and here it is for download. Zoom in on the map and you will see all the trails that this place has to offer. I myself will be on the Baker trail later this summer (05') as I hike the entire length in order to put a guide on this site. Oh... I will not hike the entire length at once but will hike it in segments when I can.
