Grove Run Trail | |||||
Linn Run State Park has a ton of trails to check out but I am only going to cover one and let you guys discover the other ones. Linn Run laos has mountain biking and fishing so there! You can view the Linn Park homepage here. I also got a map of the park from that site and you can get that here. On the map you can see there are a lot of trails to hike and a lot of things to see. Directions: You can get to the park by taking US 30 from Ligonier east for two miles to the intersection of PA381. Turn south for two miles and turn left on to Linn Run Rd at the town of Rector. Once in the park turn right into Grove Run picnic area. One again print out the map because the trails also go ot Forbes State Forest so try not to get lost. Here is a small list of the other trails: Adams Falls Trail, 1 mile, rocky and passes by a waterfall Iscrupe Trail .75 miles, follows a old road Flat Rock Trail: .5 miles, goes to a big flat rock in the stream Description: Grove Run Trail is a 4 mile loop that gets your blood pumping with a steady climb at the start. The picnic area has a stone fountain with spring water and last I heard it is very drinkable. Along the trail you should be able to see: Grove Run waterfall, a view of Linn Run Valley, and lots of moss covered rocks steraming with water. I hope to get some pictures on my next visit here. |
