Southern Hognose---(Heterodon simus)

Length: Max 24 inches-smallest of the NA hognose species.

Range: Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida

Diet: Toads, frogs and other amphibians. Some will also take fish and rodents. see feeding page  for more information.

This species is rarely bred in captivity and is somewaht difficult to maintain due to it's specialized diet requirements. See feeding page.
