The Gilderoy Lockhart Series
The Gilderoy Lockhart Series is all about a hero, one man and his wand, me. I have made huge differences all over the world, risking my life for other peoples lives. Hopefully this story will not make you jealous of how much better I am than you, but it will broaden your mind, think of the real heroes in the world and possibly even help you save a life one day. Read on and discover how much more there is to me than just a beautiful face and a heart-melting smile that has won the Witch Weekly Most-Charming Smile Award, five times in a row.
1.) Break With a Banshee
Up in the lovely country of Ireland there is a beast that scares thousands. Luckily I'm not one of those thousands. The beast is called the Banshee.
I had never seen nor fought a Banshee before and I wasn't prepared in this adventure.
One day I was strolling around a viallage with the village maiden when out from no where came a Banshee that snatched her!
I risked my life by tracking the Banshee across the hilly country, past dangerous cliffs, hidden lakes and unsafe forests.
I finally arrived at the Banshee's hideout, a small cave, hidden by a moss-covered boulder.
I heard the young maiden screaming inside and I realised that I had better make my move soon. They don't call me Great Gilderoy for nothing.
I crept into the cave, the Banshee's most fatal weapon was her scream so it was essential that I kept quiet or I would be a dead man, and the world would have had a great loss. The loss of Gilderoy Lockhart.
Creeping across the cave she suddenly turned around, without warning.
Before she could scream I rolled across the cold cave floor and sent a silencing spell at her throat. A horse came out of her mouth to signal that the spell had worked and that her voice was hoarse.
I put the maiden over my shoulders and carried her home. She was so shocked by my bravery that she barely said a word.
When we arrived back at the village she asked my to marry her.
But of course I declined. I had more business to attend to in other villages before I setlle down...
I just followed the footsteps....
2.) Gadding with Ghouls
While on my travels I met up with some relatives in France. They knew I was one for solving problems so they told me of a friend of theirs that was having problems with a ghoul.
They were having great difficulty trying to get the noisy thing away.
Ghouls live in attics and rooves. They make noice whenever they think the place is getting quiet. They bang chains, shout, yell and do just about anything to be as loud as possible. Most ghouls are known as family ghouls who stay with a family for years and years. The longer a ghoul stays, the harder it is for it to go.
Well anyway, I approcahed the cottage I was given the address to and knocked on their door. I explained to the helpless woman who I was and she said, "Oh thank goodness you came! That ghoul is driving us crazy with it's continuous noice through every hour of the day and night!".
The people that lived in this cottage were old and peaceful, which explains why the ghoul was making so much noice.
I went to the attic to observe the problem. It was very dangerous as the ghoul was very agressive, but I was never scared.
I reviewed the problem and said," There's only one thing for it, we have to use the taste of his own medicine treatment."
The people in the cottage were curious about my extraordinary intelligence and methods but I was simply being myself.
I told the family to be very quiet and when the ghoul started banging and clattering up in the attic instead of yelling their heads off at the ghoul.
Ghouls like to make havoc and annoy the residents of the homes in which they haunt but if they get no response it simply isn't fun to them any more.
The ghoul soon got bored and flew away from their humble home to annoy someone else. My amazing plan had worked.
I wrote this in the hope that if you ever get ghouls you will know what to do. The French family now know what to do, and in more peoples eyes, I am a living proof that there is a hero in the world.

Remember to be quiet with your ghouls!
3.) Holidays With Hags
While on holiday in Switzerland I met up with an old friend (Arnold Sabbin, Swedish Minister of Magic) and he told me about a particularly nasty Hag that kept eating people!
He didn't know who else to go to, he knew I was the only person that could help him. He was lucky that he knew Lucky Lockhart (i.e. me). Of course its not luck that gets me through my dangerous adventures, its my greatness that shines brighter than everyone elses.
When hearing about the Hag I replied," That's disgusting!".
So armed with only my integrity and my wand I wandered off to the Sweedish version of Knockturn Alley (Sinister Grove).
Sinister Grove is one of the worst places in the world, it was no place for an ordinary wizard but I am no ordinary wizard.
It was dark, damp and smelly. It was packed full with suspicious, shifty characters that used their beady black eyes to analyze you.
It would have made some people sick to the stomach, but not me, for I'm a hero! I have been awarded the
Order of Merlin 3rd Class for my kindness, courage and for for dedicating my life to protecting defenseless nobodies.
I saw many ugly faces but none were as ugly as the Hag standing in the middle of the grove.
She was so putrid, she stood eating human flesh. I remembered when the minister cried out for my expertise he claimed that she was the best dueller in the world. But no one is better than me. Not this Hag, not the minister, not you, nobody.
Well even if she did kill me my mark would be left in the world and I would be remembered as a hero that wasn't afraid to fight evil!
I pulled out my wand and she did it two times faster, lifted her wand and pursed her lips, about to command her wand.
   But before you could say
Stupefy, once again I did one of my famous rolls and I shot a stunning spell at her.
The plate of flesh flew out of her hands and into the air. I was given permission to use the
Kadavra Curse while she was stunned so I did which killed her.
Everyone in the crowded grove ran to me, about to attack me but I quickly apparted into the safe streets outside the grove where I was welcomed by the clapping and cheers of grateful people.
He asked for help and armed with my wands I said,"No problem!".
4.) Voyages With Vampires
After saving many people a lot of people said that I deserved a break. Although I resisted this tempting offer I had no choice but to go, I felt I owed it to myself. So I decided to go to Russia.
I arrived in Russia to instantly hear the reports of Vampire attacks everywhere. One starving Vampire was sucking blood from men, women and children. However, this demon of the night was no match for the demon of good. Me.
I felt it my immediate duty as an amazing, heroic, brave, great, better-than-everyone wizard to see to this Vampire and make sure it couldn't strike again.
"No, Gilderoy! Please! You'll be killed by that monster!" Women pleaded.
"Sorry ladies but when a creature like this is on the loose it is a hero's duty to put a stop to it." I replied calmly.
So I set off across the icy landscape to search for the Vampire and put an end to its terror.
I walked and walked until I came to a small stench of blood.
"This it it," I said."Time to face him like the man that I am."
I peered around, looking for a cavity in the ice but I found none so I had to rely on my excellent sense of smell. I followed my nose until I found myself next to a pile of snow. I digged into it, deeper and deeper. I was covered up to my elbows in mud. My favorite torquise robes were getting ruined but I put on a stiff upper lip and I wasn't bothered.
I dug and dug until I heard "Ah, so you 'ave found my secret 'ide avay I see".
I looked in the small entrance to a cave in the ground where there was a tall, pale, smiling, dark Vampire standing there. His fangs were dripping with blood. This would have made anyone scared.....anyone but me.
"Give me your neck,"the hungry Vampire demanded.
I waited for him to get close - too close for comfort. And then when he was so close that I could smell his bloody breath I thrust out some garlic and somethered his body with the odour
He screamed and dissapeared into thin air. My work was done here.
As I was leaving the people who lived there wanted me to stay because I'm the best wizard there is. But I have a feeling they'll be OK. And if they aren't, I just a few thousand miles away.
As I left Russia I said to myself,"I've done well in this country". Like every other country I visit..

Bravery doesn't conquer fear, it just keeps you as yourself in hard situations. This is true with everyone...apart from me. I never feel fear.
5.) Year With a Yeti
While trekking through Norway I came across a snow covered mountain. I decided to explore it like the wild person I am.
Near the top of the mountain I came across an all-wizard village full of cabins. Everywhere I looked there were terrified women, children and men.
At the local inn the inn keeper told me all about the Yeti that lived on top of the mountain. He was feared by everyone in the village. My, how they scare I easily I thought. But that kind of thought comes natural to me as I feel no fear.
I thought this was enough, I needed to put an end to their missery and sort the Yeti out! I walked up the mountain where I found the Yeti's lair. I clenched my wand, i was about to kill it when I heard "ACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" .
The whole mountain shook and I heard screams from the villagers below. Ah-hah, I thought. This is the reason everyone is scared. he keeps making noices because he is ill and they think he is hungry.
I must put a stop to this, I thought. For the good of the Yeti, the villagers and mankind (I'm good at helping mankind).
I entered his lair, most people would have fainted at the idea but as I said before, I fear nothing!
The Yeti turned and was obviously terrified of my lean, strong attitude. He started screaming but I got out my wand and sent a healing charm staright at him.
He instantly stopped sneezing and he smiled down at me, graciously.
I was met outside the lair by awe-struck villagers faces.
"Thankyou, Gilderoy!" was the chant that was going round the village that day. They even dedicated their own week to me. One week every year they celebrate my life. They have festivals and I believe it was me that turely brought them all together. I believe we should all celebrate the wonder that is me by dedicating a week every year to me, its what the world needs.
Anyway back at the village the inn keeper told me of all the other Yetis on the other side of the mountain that were scaring the other village.
The villagers asked me to stay but I couldn't. I had good deeds to do elsewhere.
I climbed the mountain and across the other side I met some of my most dangerous adventures yet. I saved many people. The tales of life on that side of the mountain are way too scary  for me to tell. I spent a whole year on the other side of the mountain. A year with Yetis. The most terrifying year of my life. I'll tell you whole story some day. Some day...
Not only do I risk my life for the sake of the world but I also endure getting covered in Yeti snot.
6.) Wandering With Werewolves
Holland is home to many werewolves and it is there that they have the worst werewolf attacks. That is why my friends and I travelled there
I make lots of friends on my travels.Unfortunately though, not evryone can have the unique oppurtunity of knowing me.
I went to Holland to of course rid them of all their terrible werewolf attacks. But no man could get rid of them all. Not even me. So I decided to kill the worst werewolf.
I hoped that by doing this the vulnerable people of Holland would be able to get rid of the others themselves.
Now this werewolf was fast, and hard to track, but not hard enough for me. I apparted from house to house to see who was leaving.
Then I saw him. He was tall, dark man who was walking down the street. Then the moon turned full and so did the fear of everyone. Everyone but me.
He transformed into a werewolf. I saw a gleam in his eye and I could instantly tell he was coming for me. It's not just ladies who want a piece of me you know.
I wiated for him to get close and then I pounced higher than the average man and landed on top of him. I put my wand to his neck. The werewolf was very strong. With my last ounce of strength I performed the extremely hard Homorphus charm.
With that the fur dissapeared and his fangs shrank. He was a normal man again thanks to courage, stradegy and a noble man. Me.
7.) Phight for a Phoenix!
While on holiday in Africa I heard that some wizard poachers had been taking a liking to Phoenix feathers. They said that there were Phoenix carcasses all over the forest.
Africa was famous for it's old, tribe magic. But it was no where near as strong as mine so I walked off into the forest.
This wasn't a place for a Phoenix lover. I found a body as soon as I entered the forest. And there were more and more, littered all over the floor as I got deeper and deeper into the forest.
When it got to the points where the whole forest floor was covered in Phoenix bodies I heard a sound coming from a nearby tree. I hid behind the closest tree.
I waited with baited breath. Suddenly I saw threee wizard poachers wearing cloaks with their wands out in front of them.
The first of the men looked up at a passing Phoenix and shouted,"Avada Kedavra!".
   I leapt forward and yelled,"Stupefy!".
The three men were frozen to the spot. I watched the Phoenix fall from the sky. There was nothing I could do for it now. It was already dead.
I buried the poor, defenseless creature. This was last Phoenix that would die because of these three men. I walked out of the forst, levitating the men. I handed them over to the African Ministry of Magic. My work here was done.
