Here is Windsor getting his first German trim. This was an instructional class given to PSK members. Windsor was the first to be given the trim. Once the majority of the undercoat was stripped away and his shape was visible, he received favorable comments from other members: "Perfect", "Super", "Schon"(nice), "Very Nice". He was a perfect gentleman and suffered his hosts to poke and prod. He was very patient and did not protest to the lengthy grooming which took almost two hours!
He's not too fond of the stripping process as I'm definately not experienced, but he puts up with me...and what more could I ask for? He's really a doll.
Doggie Diet/Skin/Coat
I've been learning new things these past few months. First, I have discovered just what exactly goes into pet food....and it is definately something you DO NOT want your pet to eat! Basically, what is put ino the mixture is garbage! Hoofs, intestines, cancerous parts of dead animals, rancid grease, and toxic chemicals, chemicals, chemicals!!
Hey, don't believe me, check it out for yourself. I've been to a few sites that are rather interesting and have read several articles and two books (recently) about pet diets. You really will be amazed!

With that said, I have been feeding Windsor the Bones and Raw Food (BARF) diet for the past few years. I've noticed much improvement in his personality...he seems more content and has more energy.
We have settled into our own routine and I feed the dogs twice a day. They get a large bone in the morning before I leave for work and they get a veggie meat meal in the evening or another bone meal. They are healthy and vibrant. Knowing what I know and have experienced now I would NEVER EVER go back to packaged dog food.

An on-line support group for people feeding BARF to their Minis...you'll need this group because most information available is for large dogs. Being in contact with others that feed Miniature Schnauzers naturally has been a wonderful experience for me and I whole-heartedly recommend anyone to join the list to learn more!
