Porters and Ales
Home2001
I figured I should devote a page to one of my favorites past-times.
Porters: Rich, dark, malty, low amount of hops, slight aftertaste.  Superb on a cold winter night or a hot summer night.  Goes best with a hearty meal and some good friends.
Wy's favorite Porters:  Boundary Bay Porter, Elysian's Perseus Porter, Deschute's Black Butte Porter, Orchard Street Porter, Redhook's Blackhook.
Ales: Light to heavy body, fairly hoppy, slight to strong aftertaste.  These go great with hot weather, porches and bbq.  Ales can vary considerably on bitterness, hops and barley.  Never been a big fan of IPAs.
Wy's favorite Ales: Maritime Pacific's Nightwatch, Redhook ESB, Full Sail Ale, Boundary Bay Best Bitter, Pyramid Snow Cap Ale, Rolling Rock (light as I go).
