Michael Ball:  Star of the British Stage
Alright, first and foremost you have to visit the
Michael Ball Website by Pat & Rina.  These ladies did a superb job of creating a site about this extraordinary British talent.  If you have Real Player, you'll enjoy their audio page!  This is the ultimate "snack-shop" for Michael Ball junkies.

Hollyboo's Tips For Visiting New Orleans
(a.k.a. Things I learned the hard way):

1. It's hot!  But in June, it's the humidity that'll kill ya! Sandals, lightweight shorts and cool cotton shirts are acceptable dress almost everywhere you go.
2. If you are staying in (and mostly touring) the French Quarter, a rental car is a waste of your time and money!  If you're healthy enough to walk, you can make it anywhere you want within 30 minutes (from one end to the other). Otherwise, most venues outside the F.Q. have shuttle pick up from your hotel for your convenience.
3. Carry a lightweight fanny pack or over the shoulder purse.  That cute leather thing you saw in the mall is cute now, but wait till it's loaded down with brochures, a mini umbrella and a camera! (Be sure to carry your purse over your head with the strap on your left shoulder and the satchel on your right hip.  Have pockets facing you!)
4. Bottled water is your friend! Pick up an individual sized bottle whenever you can.  Note water, not soda, your kidneys will thank you, especially if you've hit the bars the night before.
5. Coupons!  The various visitors guides are full of 'em.  Don't scoff!  That "free beverage with meal" coupon is the $5 you saved for a refreshment later on!
6. Use insect repellant after dark!  There are enough "smells" of New Orleans that no one will notice your Eau De Off!. You're fine while you're moving, but the moment you slow down for a fortune teller, street performer, artist, etc., those mosquitos will get cha!
7.  Get your souveniers at the French Market on Decatur!!  75% cheaper than the malls or the shops in the F.Q.  Same beads and voodoo dolls and other N.O. kitsch for a lot less!
