Rodeo is located in Seattle, Washington and we have been loving our Swissies for five years. Introduced to the breed in 2000, our first Swissy "Dagen" came home in January of 2001. Dagen is five years old with two champion offspring and is an amazing Greater Swiss Mountain Dog to own!
Swissies are wonderful family companions and faithful workers, but they require a serious commitment from their owners to keep them happy, healthy and appropriately trained for family and working life.
Many Swissy owners show their dogs in AKC dog shows. In addition, Swissies and their people truly love working sports including Drafting (pulling a cart and one of the jobs Swissies were bred to perform), Herding, Backpacking, and Weight Pulling.
