Natasha's Death - March 1996
Natasha's untimely death took place at Lucy Benson's 18th birthday party. Natasha's date for the evening was Dermot who wanted to ensure that she had a night to remember.
Dermot's friend, Rob Hawthorne suggested that he spike Natasha's drink with a drug that would make her lose all of her inhibitions. Rob and Dermot watched as Natasha stormed the dance floor and became the life and soul of the party but were then horrified to see her suddenly collapse. Natasha later died in hospital.
This event was the start of a long battle between Kurt and Rob, which would continue with several more tragedies over the years. Natasha's death was a major event in the show marking the first death in Hollyoaks.
Her death had a profound effect on all of her friends as they had to deal with the death of someone they'd grown up with.
The story also sparked off the beginning of several other different storylines!
Natasha's death was the first hard-hitting storyline the show had ever dealt with.
