These are some of the locations in Hollyoaks

Name: The Dog in the Pond

Info: Hollyoaks’ local pub, it’s run responsibly by ex-policeman Jack Osborne. The Dog is often home to the unfolding dramas in Hollyoaks, and never more so than when it was set on fire by Steve in 2001. Thankfully, Jack was able to get the place refurbished and reopened relatively quickly.

Workers:

Jack Osborne the owner

Norman the Glass collecter

Name: Drive N Buy

Info: Drive’n’Buy is the one-stop shop for Hollyoaks residents looking to pick up a few groceries. It’s also provided casual employment for dozens of villagers, but of varying commitment - so while Anna lasted over a year, Ben barely lasted an hour, and when Max and OB were minding the shop they tried to set up their own sandwich business.

Workers:

Max Cunningham the heir to Mr. C's empire

Mandy Richardson the reluctant co-manager

Name: Gnosh Village

Info: Gnosh Village is the brainchild of Tony Hutchinson and sits in the former premises of the Deva coffee shop. It opened its doors in late November 2002, and has already won headlines for its memorable if raucous Burns Night celebration in January 2003.

Workers:

Tony Hutchinson the Owner

Mandy Richardson the co-manager

Name: Hollyoaks Community College

Info: Responsible for the yearly influx of students into Hollyoaks, HCC is a popular place of study with excellent media facilities. HCC has seen many Hollyoaks alumni pass through its doors. Originally Tony worked there as a chef (from whence he gained his loathing of students!) and latterly Max took up the same role before being sacked.

Workers:

Chloe Bruce the Welfare officer

Liz Burton the office admin

Name: The Loft

Info: Opened in September 2000 by Finn and Lewis, The Loft is Hollyoaks Village’s nightclub. Some of HOLLYOAKS’ most dramatic scenes have been played out here – from Lorraine’s security guards dealing drugs on the premises to Mr C “getting down with that thing” in his debut appearance as a rap-artist. Most recently it was the subject of a sudden and controversial buy-out by ex-footballer Scott Anderson.

Workers:

Scott Anderson the Owner

Darren Osborne the Manager

Name: Dan's Pit Stop

Info: A more recent addition to Hollyoaks Village. Dan's Pit Stop trades in motor-related gadgets and gimmicks, besides offering a selection of everyday features for the car. The shop is currently closed while Dan languishes in prison.

Workers:

Dan Hunter the Owner and Manager

Name: Washed Up

Info: Hollyoaks Village’s newest business opened its doors in February 2003 when Helen Cunningham decided to turn her dry cleaning operation Steam Team into a fully-fledged laundrette. The premises have expanded to boast a large selection of washing machines, tumble and spin dryers, besides retaining the original services which made Steam Team such a locally-renowned outfit.
