Bud will sich ein neues Image zulegen, um bei den Frauen besser anzukommen. Es gelingt ihm jedoch nicht, sich überzeugend in die Country-Legende Billy Ray Bundy zu verwandeln.
Dann befiehlt ihm eine merkwürdige Stimme, eine Maschine zu konstruieren, die ein Ebenbild von ihm erschafft. Dieser Doppelgänger, "Cool Bud", will Bud nun zum Frauenheld aufbauen.
The family thinks Bud has flipped when they overhear his basement conversations with his "cool" alter-ego, who has grown weary of Bud's failures with women. Also, Al has a battle with a voice mail system in an effort to get parts for the Dodge.
