Plot Summary:  

SPECTRE executes another grand extortion scheme involving the smuggling of diamonds from South African diamond mines, the kidnapping and impersonation of reclusive billionaire Willard Whyte, and the use of the Whyte empire resources.  The diamonds are used by SPECTRE to complete a space satelite that uses laser refraction through an array of diamonds to generate a super-powered laser weapon which can be used to hold the world hostage.  Whtye's resources are used to launch the satelite and as a front for Blofeld's operations.
