Alexis... may I call you Al?
    okay... thought not.
Yes, Alexis, there is a Santa Claus... but he's a crack addict living on my front stoop ( or is that the stoop living in front... ? )
Anyway... as I was sitting for hour after hour after hour on the set of "Crazy in Alabama" (Melanie Griffiths/Antonio Bandaras/TBS/completely horrible don't waste precious VHS tape on it). I had the chance to chat with a lady (stunning woman, maybe 50) who was also there as an extra.
She told of wrapping a shoot for the next Star Trek movie... in which she plays the leader of a band of people who have found the fountain of youth (or somesuch startrekkian foolishness).
She got that part through an audition she found in the recently murdered "DramaLogue".
She has an agent... but she says, picks up a lot more work on her own.
    (?)
Sooo to make a long story just a little less dreary... I'll leave you with a poser: Why do you want an agent?

    Best to all,
    Barry
PS: Mind you I wouldn't complain if somebody [like an agent / manager/ fairy godmother (don't get cute) / whoever] threw a little work my way for the 15 percent I could pay... but I'm not willing to be a checkbook for some would-be or washed up actor that wants to charge for the privelege of thier company! I want someone who gets paid when I get paid... you know, like every other pimp in this town.

    Barry (Yes, that Barry)
