Pointers for opening night Sunday, 12-Jul-98 03:25:27
Does anyone have any pointers for opening night. This will be AJ's first time on a stage in front of a big audience, and he has some concerns. Like: How do you overcome that feeling like you are going to trip, fall, drop something or knock over the scenery, etc... (he says it makes him feel very stiff) Is this just nerves? How do you recover when another actor forgets there lines, speaks out of order or misses thier cue? Or you do? I know he is very nervous and the play starts next weekend. He has his part nailed (at least the words, still working on the feelings) and I think he will do a great job for his first time. He is so excited and already talking about how he doesn't want it to end. The other day he even said "I don't care if I ever make any money acting, its just something that I really want to do".
