Quick Tips

I'm no authoratative figure on HTML by any means but while learning in and setting up my pages I have found out that i) it is best to download other pages and view their HTML structure, and ii) to allow access to your home pages, if you are on a Universitys' Unix server first create a directory in the top level of your account called public_html, then call your first/ top level Web page index.html and put it in that folder - to allow people access to the contents of that folder in Unix, again in the top level of the directory, type ls -l public_html and check the assosiated flags, if it ISN'T accessable to the public then type chmod 711 . and then press [Return]. This should work - it did for me, but if you have problems you should ask your system administrator.
