Welcome to the Holodeck|

Holodeck - (Holographic Environment Simulator) The holodeck permits the simulation of virtually any environment or person with a degree of fidelity virtually indistingishable from reality. The holodeck employs three-dimensional holographic projections as well as transporter-based replications of actual objects. A large library of simulations are available in the holodecks of Galaxy-class straships, and the holodeck software permitted programs to be customized according to user preferences. Holodecks are used for a wide range of recreational, sports and training applications. The Enterprise-D holodeck systems were significantly upgraded in 2364 by the Bynars at Starbase 74. Holodeck software permitted a real person to be simulated by making use of file photos, voice recordings, and personality profile databases. The use of such simulations without the consent of the person being modeled is considered to be a serious invasion of privacy.

This is the home of many different holographic characters, stories, reenactments of historical events. One of the most famous characters is that of Dixon Hill.

Dixon Hill is a fictional private detective from the Dixon Hill series of short stories and novels set in San Francisco, Earth  , in the 1930's and 1940's. The character first appeared in the short story "The Big Goodbye" publishes in pulp magazine Amazing Detective Stories in 1934.
