My uninspiring walls live a masquerade under the sultry smiles of the popular heroes and stars of today. As the light dies, so too does the electricity in their expression. They are no more seen, shrouded by night's mystery. Somewhere, in the sleeping darkness, the television awakes, the video plays and imagination wanders. On the television's emotional face there walks a lean, muscular and battle worn man with brown eyes, blonde hair and a golden smile. His smouldering, intense gaze fixes on mine through the barrier of a glass screen and I am lost to the unknown, unsung hero of today...

The film has long since ended and I sink into the soft mattress of my bed. Lying in its arms, I listen to the night's humming silence, watching the glow of stars on my ceiling sky. I still hear his voice in my mind as my eyes close and I know when my bedroom walls lose their smiles and all posters and pictures fade and crumble into nothingness, lost in the dust, my mind's heart will beat one eternal image and song of my hero, Michael Biehn...
