I absolutely adore Semisonic. They have a great power-pop
sound mixed in with wild instrumental mixes!
Give them and their new CD "Great Divide" a listen. My favorite songs are "fnt," "Across the Great Divide," and "In Another
Life."
History-wise, two parts of Semisonic (Dan and John) used to be a part of
indie band
Trip Shakespeare, but
they broke up! They picked up Jacob Slichter (amazing drummer and
keyboardist), and
they became Pleasure. But then copyright over that name heated up, and they were reincarnated as
SEMISONIC.
Semisonic's fnt is on the Long
Kiss Goodnight Soundtrack.
Semisonic was on Just Passin' Thru, a show on WHFS where the band plays live
acoustically. I have a tape if you're interested, though I accidentally
