This is a page where you can find out current news information on Kerri. This includes TV appearances, segments devoted to her on TV, public appearances, etc. I will also have general gymnastics news that I feel people will be interested in, such as Mag7 news and televised gymnastics info. Due to the shortage of news in recent weeks, I will start giving full credit to everyone who sends me news first. Why didn't I before, you ask? I received too much news to keep straight, so I didn't want to accidentally give credit to the wrong person.

MAGAZINE: From Larry S.: The December 30 - January 6 issue of People Magazine has two pages devoted to the Mag7 as well as a picture of Kerri with four shirtless guys. Some discussion of the animosity between Kerri and the other gymnasts is present, also.
SITE: Apparently, when I updated my "Links" page, the new HTML never made it to the server. I just fixed the problem. The page is still far from completion, though. Thanks to Deena for pointing that out.

MAGAZINE: From Deena: There is a full page picture of Kerri on beam in the December 30 - January 6th issue of Time Magazine.
MAGAZINE: From Deena: Kerri is in the latest issue of Newsweek.
MAGAZINE: The January '97 issue of Life Magazine (The Year in Pictures) has an exclusive photo of Kerri with LA Laker Kobe Bryant.
SITE: OK, I think I believe I know the source of the Kerri pics in my "1993" archive. I will post the info when I receive confirmation.

MAGAZINE: From John: The Year In Sports is a recently published magazine by ESPN in which Kerri's historic vault is featured as one of the top SportsCenter moments of 1996. The special edition has a full-page photo of Kerri landing on her injured ankle. Also, a commentary about her at a corporate conference in Dallas with two other heroes, Air Force pilot Scott O' Grady, who was shot down in Bosnia, and Donald Wyman, a man who had to cut off his own leg to survive, is toward the end of the magazine.
NEWS: From Kerri's AOL journal: A unique photo-spread of Kerri will be in an upcoming issue of Sports Illustrated. The issue date is unknown.
SITE: I finally got the 1993 picture archive working. I also added 3 more exclusive pics, with more to come. Watch for a major update to the picture archive before the end of the year.
SITE: In future news updates, I will include links to Kerri's AOL journals. I will post more AOL stuff, also, such as pictures and chat transcriptions.
CLARIFICATION: The Time Magazine quotes about Dominique Moceanu from the December 21st news update do not reflect my opinion of her. I believe she is a talented gymnast with a bright future.

UCLA: From Larry S.: Kerri will perform an exhibition routine at every home gymnastics meet this season. The UCLA opener is on Saturday, January 12 at Pauley Pavilion at 2 PM PST, and Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner will make special guest appearances.
MAGAZINE: From Chris Z.: The December 23rd issue of Time Magazine features "The Best of 1996...and the Worst". Kerri was named one of the "best sport phenoms of 1996." Also in the issue, John Tesh was named one of the "worst Public Performances of 1996" for his Olympic telecasts, and Dominique Moceanu was named one of the people who "Had their 15 minutes of fame in 1996."
NEWS: From Prowl52: Kerri made an appearance at the Rockets vs. Spurs game in Houston.

TV: From D. Gorman: Kerri will be on the The Arete Awards, which airs December 24th on ESPN at 10PM EST. The show honors athletes for their courage and is aired from Chicago.

MAGAZINE: A 2-page photo spread of Kerri is in the new issue of Olympian Magazine (Nov./Dec.). A different picture of her at Sea World is also there.
