"Apache Tribe?" you might wonder, when you hear of Apache Tribe Productions. "But none of those guys looks like an Apache. And isn't that a little offensive?" And you'd be right!
None of the members of Apache Tribe is an Apache, and it is offensive! You see, the name Apache does not directly refer to the group of Native Americans. Rather, it harkens back to the day when Tim and Eamonn, thumbing through Tim's CD collection, discovered the album of early 90's rapper Apache. Apache's phenomenally poor quality and offensive rapping (with such lyrics as "Kill de white people, but buy my record first" and numerous songs about his dick, "Tonto") won him the immediate affection of the filmmakers, and hence the name.
