Geocities delected one of my web pages that had many pictures for the Titanic web site! So, I really don't have any pictures.
I won't have access to a computer or email until the end of August. If you have comments or questions, please go to other Titanic web sites. If you are a fan of Romeo and Juliet, you can check out my Romeo and Juliet 1968 site that is on this GeoCities account also.

Your titanic pages are very nice. Good work.
I have been searching for a particular scene with Kate Winslet in it
It comes from the same scene that this pic (Kate is melancholy #4)
is from.
I'm looking for the full screen shot of Kate just before cal enters
the room.
I'm going to use it in a 3D scene like the ones I created here.

If you have one or know where I can get it i would
greatly appreciate it.

I don't if this is totally obvious, but has anyone ever realized that the 2
characters fighting for Joey's affection on "Dawson's Creek" are named Jack
and Dawson. Jack just appeared this season, so I'm beginning to wonder if
Kevin Williamson ( the creator ) named his new character because of the
Titanic character to see if anyone would notice. Also, last week's episode was
about Joey drawing Jack nude. Same plot, just reversed. They even mentioned
the movie.

Titanic was up for a bunch of awards in the past two weeks! But, as in the
Globes and in the Oscars, none of the Actors/Actresses walked away with
anything! In the American People's Choice Awards, Kate was
nominated for Best Actress, and lost to Sandra Bullock, Leo was
nominated for Best Actor, but lost to someone else. (CBS has a gawd awful site
that won't allow you to view the winners, and won't allow you to send any mail
complaining about it--but they have a form for you to fill out that won't
send! ARGH!) Titanic DID win for most dramatic movie and best movie though!
=) And I do believe Celine Dion won in the American Music Awards....
More to come when I know it ALL!

A review of: TITANIC -James Cameron's Illustrated Screenplay
TITANIC -James Cameron's Illustrated Screenplay is a must
for all fans. This long-awaited volume, which I have had no success
at all finding in stores, is in stock and available from amazon.com at this link, from which I got it in 48 hours. Featuring 150 pages of the original 292-scene "shooting script" (which may be familiar to some from the web) each set en face gorgeous color pictures from the film, including many scenes, including whole subplots, that did not make it into the final cut, the volume features page-by-page commentary by Cameron or longtime collaborator Randall Frakes about editing decisions, dramatic intent, what happened on the set, and other insights and tidbits that will delight and fascinate any fan/student of the film, or of cinema in general.
-
The brand-new paperback volume opens with a ten-page 1998 "interview" with the Director (the "questions" were obviously scripted by him), which reveals a great deal about his film-making and dramatic philosophy as well as many interesting facts and decisions he made about the film. It ends with an appendix of the rewritten Scene 69 (Jack shows Rose his portfolio on the Boat Deck), and a complete list of the thousands of credits of the film. Many skillful and touching Cameron storyboard-drawings also appear, as well as some beautiful full double-page spreads.
-
I was particularly struck by Leonardo di Caprio's cinematic/directorial and ad lib skills, as reported by Cameron. And those of us who are still dazzled by Rose's beauty will be delighted by the many beautiful Kate stills. Some of Cameron's symbolic language revealed in these pages, e.g., the butterfly (hair comb) as an icon of Rose's metamorphosis and the Statue of Liberty as a symbol of her newfound freedom, have the power to move months after one has last viewed the film.
- Among the tidbits revealed is that Cameron plans no "director's cut", as he feels that the released cut is the most perfect possible and is not the result of any compulsion or compromise. He does say, though, that perhaps a DVD or CD release with extra scenes as an appendix, specifically for students and fans, is possible.
- No, I'm not on anybody's payroll, but I think anyone reading this should be reading that. It is a scriptbook, a director's commentary, an appreciation, and if nothing else, a beautiful movie in stills. Get it while it can still be had.

I was in Cancun, Mexico over Christmas break and many people there mentioned
that several celebrities were staying at the Ritz Hotel, including Leonardo
DiCaprio. I was so thrilled, but I knew it was probably a rumor. Have you

Leo Dicaprio making Titanic? A behind the scenes video of Titanic?

I was watching "Access Hollywood" on Mon. Dec. 21, and they had a special
about Leo. It said that he is desperately trying to get back with his old
girlfriend Kristin Zang. Reportedly, he got down on his knees and begged
her to get back with him in a famous L.A. restaurant. As for Kristin, she
said that she is thinking it over and doesn't know if she can trust his
womanizing ways.

Leo is on the cover of US Magazine (if you hadn't noticed). He is also
featured in the new Entertainment Weekly and he is on the cover of
December's Biography Magazine.
And may I support another movie while I'm at it? "Shakespeare in
Love"!!! It is wonderful!
---Mina I just wanted to let you know, that I just bought the TITANIC
ILLUSTRATED SCREENPLAY from BARNS And NOBLE, and I LOVE IT like CRAZY!!!
It's the best book I have EVER seen! TONS of BRAND NEW "Never before
seen" pictures and lot's of new info + it's filled with all the CUT
SCENES and such! Wow! it's TERRIFIC! I felt like I was watching the
movie even with all the cut scenes included!
It's Awesome! I HIGHLY suggest you RUN to your nearest book store and
snatch it! There were only 2 copies left when I got there!

I need the photo of "I will never let go Jack, I will never let go

but I can't find the picture on any titanic book,
could you tell me where to buy it?
I can't use the picture which is dowmload from internet, because the
resolution is only 72dpi.
I am a student, and redesigning a Titanic poster is my assignment,
so I need the picture!

I'm looking for a specific Titanic image and I was wondering if you have it
or know where I can find it. I want the scene where the ghostly image of Jack
and Rose are kissing on the front of the wreckage of the ship. Let me know if
you don't know which one I'm talking about. Thanks.

Seeing a banner ad for "James Cameron's Titanic Explorer", I clicked on
it, ran out of the house into the car and had it in hand in less than
20 minutes, at rush hour. For $29.95, this 3-CD set is a steal. It runs on
Mac or PC, is produced by Fox, and features Cameron and his -Titanic-. It
is best described as the world's definitive -Titanic- documentary, made by
excerpting Cameron's film, and interactive.
While there's no Jack, Rose, Cal, or any of the fictional characters,
there's miles of cut footage from the theatrical release, portraying
several documented historical events that were not in the final cut. The
format is a timeline from 1800 to the present, divided into maybe 1 or 200
clickable "scenes", each a mini-movie, illustrated with film footage where
appropriate, but narrated with a voice-over and supplied with clickable
"footnotes" to facilitate further exploring any given scene. The scenes
can auto-sequence, but a bit slowly for my taste - waiting for the scenes
to change was the largest drawback for me. Any can be seen at any time.
The set divides into three CD's, best explored independently - 1800
(history of translatlantic voyage) to the collision, the collision to
the last plucking of people from the water, and the Carpathian to the present
day (which last I haven't explored yet). The first CD includes a "virtual
reality" tour of selected areas of the ship, and full boat plans. The
main propulsion engine is QuickTime, which auto-installs, and there is
an auxiliary search engine (neither steam driven). Installation is trivial.
PC'ers will need a Pentium or better processor.
You can think of the set as James Cameron's -Titanic- documentary (as
opposed to dramatic epic), or a fully-footnoted version of the
"historical" parts of the Great Film, where every person, scream, and
creak you saw and heard on the Big Screen is fully explained, LITERALLY
lifeboat by lifeboat. No one reading this page should hesitate for a
second about running out and buying it: anyone who worships and admires
Cameron's masterpiece as do I will find this release even a greater event
than the release of the video -- it is a dream-come-true. I do offer the
sailing advisory that those affected by the Great Film as much I had best
pack many handkerchiefs in their life-vests.

Everybody, quit dissing "Celebrity". It is a Woody Allen film...
Everything I've heard is not that bad. And if they didn't like the whole
movie they raved about Leo's CAMEO appearance (with 10 minutes he isn't
the star). Give it a rest!
---sabih7@airmail.net
Enjoyed your Titanic page. I read where they have both versions, widescreen
and the regular. Which one is best? I'm getting it for Christmas, but need to
figure out which is best. I'm just now becoming a Titanic junky; I'm only a year
or so late.

NEWS FLASH
Kate Winslet has wed... this is according to the November 23, 1998 (Monday)
edition of People Magazine (US publication).
Here is an excerpt of their report:
"Titanic" star Kate Winslet married assistant film director Jim
Threapleton Sunday in what the vicar described as "a normal wedding as far
as we were concerned." Security was tight at the ceremony at the church in
the town of Reading, England. About 150 guests, including actress Emma
Thompson, attended. After the half-hour service, the 23- year-old actress,
in a white Edwardian-style gown, posed briefly for photographs with her
25-year-old husband. (They met last year in Morocco on the set of the
movie "Hideous Kinky," which has yet to be released.) "It was quite
amazing," the bride said of the wedding. "It was the most amazing day of
our lives." She said the exchange of vows was the highlight. "I think it
was an incredible feeling." The reception, held at a 17th century pub,
included a simple meal featuring the hearty traditional dish of "bangers
and mash" (sausages and mashed potatoes). A four-piece Irish fiddle band
could be heard playing the tune from the "Titanic" scene where Winslet's
character dances a jig.
CONGRATULATIONS TO KATE INDEED!!!!

I saw CELEBRITY starring Kenneth Branaugh (sP?), Melanie Griffith (slut), Leonardo DiCaprio (our guy), Wynona Ryder etc.. The movie SUCKED. I hate Woody Allen as a person and his movies. This one really bites. According the FILM THREAT, the movie only grossed 1.7 million and that is compaired to THE RUGRATS MOVIE which earned 28 million from Nov 20-22nd.

I just wanted to drop a line to thank you for your marvelous web site. I
can do without all the gooey Leonardo stuff (hey, I'm a guy!), but I really
like all the info and enthusiasm put into the site and it's the first
Titanic site I check out when looking for updates.
This past week I have been really bummed out and depressed to because the
October 25th, Celine Dion concert here in Phoenix was sold out. I wasn't
even aware that she was coming out here and when I did find out.........it
was too late the concert was sold out, and even if it wasn't, I wouldn't
have had the money to buy tickets (spent too much on Titanic books and
seeing the Movie over the summer!).
This morning (Friday Oct 23rd), as I was waking up, the radio announced that they would give
two tickets to Sunday's Celine Dion concert to the first person calling in
with the correct answer to the question: "What day did the Titanic sink on?"
I was only half awake, but I picked up the phone, dialed the number, got a
busy signal, hit re-dial, the phone rang....I got through, and the rest is
history......I have two tickets to the Big Concert Tour of the Year! This
is the first time in many years that I've called into a radio station
contest and the first time, ever, that I have won!
I hope that Celine's concert here is as good as the ones that R.J.
(Cleveland) and Sarah went to. I will let you know how it went. I very
excited about winning these tickets and wanted to share the new with my
friends at TITANIC, Pictures, News and Links.

I just want to say that a few day's ago I went to see the TITANIC exibit
at Paramount's Carowinds. It was the CLOSEST thing to the movie. I
thought that the necklace was the best part. The sitting room set was
wonderful. The other thing was the gift shops. All over the park. I
bought a shot glass(I collect them). If you have a chance to go, GO!
Carowinds is the last stop and it ends next month.
---Rosella_85@Yahoo.Com
I agree that NOTHING has been cut out of the movie----there was never a
part about the father and his sons or nothing about what that Lewis
person said to Rose----i don't know what movie theatre they went to but
they must be dreaming!
Also where can i find a page with the script on it i really need it for
a project i am doing comparing the Scarlet Letter and Titanic??? Thanx a
bunch!

Hey there! Just writing to say that I don't think a minute was cut
from the movie in the video. I saw the movie 10 times in the theatre
and basically knew it by heart and did not notice anything different

everyone hear that Kate and her boyfriend Jim got engaged? Cool huh?
I'm so happy for her!
