THIS ONE GOES TO ELEVEN: A TRIBUTE TO

There's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Quick, name the funniest movie in the universe! No, not "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". Not "Animal House". Not "National Lampoon's Vacation". Not even "Showgirls". Okay, maybe "Showgirls" is the second funniest movie in the universe. In my opinion, the funniest, most cleverly written movie ever made has got to be "This is Spinal Tap", written by Rob Reiner, Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer, who are among the greatest comedy minds in film. Well, okay, Rob Reiner was one of the greatest comedy minds in film, until he started making movies like "North". But then again, "North" is just a small fluke when compared to modern-day classics like "Stand by Me", "Misery", "The Princess Bride", and, of course, the above mentioned "This is Spinal Tap". "Tap" is such a well-written, frighteningly realistic look at the ego-driven lives of talentless, aging heavy metal dudes that some people I know actually questioned if it was a real documentary or not. I'd say this is the highest compliment you can give to any sort of satire.

But enough of my yacking. What do you say? Let's boogie!

As this is only my second attempt at creating a website,it may be a little while before I'm able to download soundbites and such. For now, though, I hope you enjoy the Spinal Tap Trivia Challenge, and other shagadelic bits of fun and whimsy I have to offer.
