While the rest of the family was in a wedding reception next door, I attempted to pick up the Cine-Fi sound on the car radio while parked outside the fence. It could have worked, but it didn't. Before this, as my dad drove me out of a Benji movie at the Valley, he left the radio on as we left while the previews ran for the second showing. You could still hear the soundtrack as we left the lot then, but not now.

According to Jack Ondraeck's contribution to the former Evil Sam Grahm Website, it closed around 1985 or '86 due to an electrical fire in the office fuse panel. The screen and building stayed up until the early 90's, and now the lot is home to condominiums.

Terraserver photo of site today. (It's the set of buildings to the right of the undevloped field. Like they couldn't use the field first, before the drive-in, to build houses on.)
