Julian Po
Medium Popcorn
Many of you may not have even heard of this movie. It was out on limited release in about ten cities and mine was one of them. It is the story of a mean named Julian PO, played by Christian Slater, whose life is drab and meaningless so he decides to make something of it and go somewhere he had never been...the sea shore. On his way, though, his car breaks down and he becaomes stranded in this to so far from civilization that the name is worn off of the sign. Here the people immediately become suspicious of him, thinking such things as he is a drug dealer or a murderer. That is until a surprising announcement makes him a hero. I'm not going to tell you because it is one of the few interesting parts of the movie. While in town he also meets Sarah, played by Robin Tunney who you might recognise from The Craft. He immediately falls for her and is spun into the weirdest relationship since Hamlet. This movie, also known by the title "The Tears Of Julian Po", is interesting at its heart but is extremely vague on screen. I think it was done this way purposely, but unfortunately, that is its downfall. If for no other reason, see this movie just to try and figure it out. Also, Christian Slater does give another good performance in a very weak movie.
