From Northeastern Pennsylvania's MAGIC 93, radio personality (and this site's favorite) Frankie Warren had this to say on a December morning broadcast:

"Today is, 'Fun on the Internet' Day, so I thought I would pass along to

everybody another great site, The Unauthorized Jerry Lewis Site. My own

brush with the King of Comedy came when Jerry Lewis was one of the

entertainers on cruise ship I was on years ago. He was walking around taking

pictures and everything. When we went to his show that night we sat down in

front. When someone came up to me and asked if I would help Mr. Lewis with

part of the show. I said, 'Yes, I would be happy to help.' This guy then told

me that at some point in the show Jerry Lewis is going to ask if anyone has a

handkerchief and would that person stand up and pull out the handkerchief. He

then hands me a new handkerchief. I said, 'sure.' So, sure enough during the

show Jerry asks, 'Does anyone have a handkerchief? Oh, yes this young man over

here. ‘He then asks, 'What is your name, sir?' ‘My name is Frank,’ I told

him. 'O.K. Frank.' Then he does this shtick where he burns up the handkerchief

[as part of a magic trick he 'learned from THE Great Dunninger.’] He then gives me

a monogrammed one to replace it. It has his autograph embroidered on it. It

was a great show."
