Harley plays
actual Titanic victim, Bess Allison, a wealthy American who is
travelling with her husband, Hudson, young daughter, Lorraine
and infant son, Trevor, the only one of the Allisons to survive. Before
embarking on the voyage the Allisons hire a nanny, who suffers
from nightmares and hides a dark secret. Unlike her previous
roles, Harley's Bess is a bit of snobby rich person with no patience
for her pathetic nanny. Still, she's one of the nicer
snobby rich people on the ship. Alas, Harley fans,
like the cook she goes down in the end.
This version of the fateful story is much more historically accurate
than more well-known Hollywood treatments and follows the lives
of many of the passangers from all different walks of life and
socio-economic backgrounds. |
