1995 TV Appearances

January: MTV had a special on Boyz II Men's tour. It showed them singing "On Bended Knee" in their undershirts. They also had a short interview with them, and Babyface. They showed clips of them live singing "U Know," "Uhh Ahh," and "On Bended Knee." They thought that it is totally different to be the headliners because people are coming to see them, not someone else.

January: Since Boyz II Men were VH1's Artist of the Month for January, so there were interviewed. The statement about them being one of the only artists who can actually sing is based on opinion, they've learned that they can't please everyone, they want to show versatility in the group, they'd rather be known as musicians then balladeers, they do not want to be forced to do R&B/Pop music forever, and they dress alike because it has unity and no arguments occur with the outfits.

January (?): The guys make another appearance on Friday Night Videos. As a joke, they sang very small parts of some of their hit songs! Including, "It's so Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday," "Motownphilly," and "End of the Road." They explained what the difference is between Cooleyhighharmony and II, explained the song, "Thank You," and then sang "Thank You" in front of an audience.

January: On E! they had Mike and Shawn read the 1995 Grammy Nominees for Best R&B Song and Album. Mike couldn't pronounce one of the nominees name!

January: On the Jay Leno Show, Boyz II Men performed "Water Runs Dry." During the interview, Wanya had to sit up on the arm of the chair because there wasn't enough room for him. They basically talked about touring internationally, and what they ate. They liked to eat at McDonald's.

January: At the American Music Awards, Boyz II Men win three out of the four awards they were nominated for. When they won Best Song, Wanya was crying, mainly because it was there first award off of II.

January: On Entertainment Tonight, they were at the American Music Awards. Before the show, Boyz II Men said hello to all the viewers and ET, to come join the party at the AMAs. After they had one their three awards, they went backstage to have pictures taken of them and they told ET that they never thought they could ever win more AMAs and they thanked everyone.

January: On Extra!, they had a news story called Oh Boyz! They just kicked off the All Around the World Tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Extra! showed clips from their performance of "Your Love." Then they showed clips of Boyz II Men praying, warming up their voices to a religious song backstage, and taking pictures with fans. During an interview, they said they were just trying to get out of their neighborhoods, and the reason why Mike uses a cane. Extra! then informed the viewers that Boyz II Men made over $5 million in January alone!

February: MTV showed a bit of Brandy's 16th Birthday Party, at Planet Hollywood, which Boyz II Men sang "Happy Birthday" to her.

February: On Indianapolis News, they showed Boyz II Men singing "On Bended Knee" at a Valentine's Day renewing of vows ceremony.

February: Boyz II Men go to Phoinex to attend the Stay in School Jam. They sang there newest hit, "Thank You" as a finale for the show.

February: On the Stay in School Jam, Boyz II Men ended the show with "Thank You," and they congratulated all of the kids there for staying in school.

Febraury: At the Stay in School Jam, BET's Big Lez talked to them but not very long. She basically asked them to write a song about her, but they said yeah, in a very sarcastic way.

February: MTV had a special where artists performed at the NBA All Star game. They sang "On Bended Knee," and "Thank You" to a big crowd who went to see the NBA All Star Game.

February (?): In 1994, Madonna was not very happy that Boyz II Men kept hogging the Billboard Charts. A few months later, Boyz II Men responded and Shawn basically said that they love her music and hope to be as successful as her one day! They also dissed MTV anchor Kurt Loder because during that Madonna interview, he said that no one even knows their names and that they'll probably get run over by a bus next week on the charts.

March: On MTV, Boyz II Men were making one of there best videos ever, "Water Run Dry." It showed them doing the video without longtime director, Lionel C. Martin. The interviewer asked Nate about the budget of the video because of the helecopters, and stuff. He said (in a funny voice), "We don't want to talk about the budget!" Then Shawn said about Lionel not being there director, "He didn't care that we went to a different director."

March: During an interview on the Video Music Box, they were asked some questions. They said that they are still getting along great after being together for so long, all expectations for II have been fufilled, had a lot of pressure from their label and the fans for the album, at the time of the interview, II had sold a little less than Cooleyhighharmony, but II later beats that album, they still want to do many more things in music, they want to expand as much as possible, their influences included Take 6, Patti LaBelle, Michael Jackson and many others, they listen to a wide variety of music, and like to make good music.

March: On the Grammys, Boyz II Men walk away with two awards, and sing "I'll Make Love to You" which was one of their best performances of that song ever. After, they were on VH1, they looked so happy, and they were showing off there awards!

March: At the Soul Train Music Awards, Boyz II Men were the top winners winning two awards. They also started the show with most of "Thank You", and "I'll Make Love to You".

April: MTV showed Nate talking about where he worked before Boyz II Men came about. He said that he was the fast food king, working at McDonald's, Wendy's, and Roy's. He worked at those places to provide for himself instead of depending on his mother.

April: Boyz II Men's 2nd Rockumentary on MTV premiered. It showed baby pictures of them, some performances, and old Philly singers. This is probably the best special on Boyz II Men! You have to see it.

April: On the Charlie Rose Show, Boyz II Men were interviewed! The talked about many things, including how Boyz II Men started, where the name Boyz II Men came from, how they dress, who writes their songs, each member talked about their personalities, why they think they are successful, how they pay back their moms for being there, who their heroes are, how "End of the Road" came about, what their first big break was, talked about Khalil, where they will be ten years from now, and they sang "I'll Make Love to You, "Yesterday," and "On Bended Knee" a cappella, (parts of each song).

April: C-SPAN showed Boyz II Men singing one of the songs for Earth Day, "Yesterday."

April: Boyz II Men were the co-hosts on MTV Jams Countdown. They were at Ohio, before a concert. They were very weird! They talked about many things before and after the show, and Bill even talked to Wanya's little brother, Keri, and his younger sister, Dorothy.

May: A Philadelphia news station showed a bit of Boyz II Men's press coference for their new studio, Stonecreek Studios, and behind-the-scenes at a concert in New York. The segment on the concert showed their band going crazy, Mike being asked if he had any pre-show ritual, he said that I don't pray to some doll, Wanya screamed at that. They then asked Shawn what he does before concerts, and he said he streches his legs, and brushes his teeth. Wanya took a pic with his brother, Keri, and drank some tea, bark got stuck in his teeth. Right before they went on stage, they prayed, and Nate boxed them down to the stage. Nate also said that he gets tired right before they get on stage.

May: Even though Boyz II Men weren't at the Kids' Choice Awards, they won an award, and got into the Hall of Fame. When they won Best Group, they showed them at a concert in Ohio. They thanked the fans and sang a bit of "Thank You." Brandy accepted their Hall of Fame award.

May: At the World Music Awards, Boyz II Men won one award, sang "Water Runs Dry," and presented an award to future duet partner, Mariah Carey.

June: VH1 showed Batman and Robin, otherwise known as John Dukaris and Qadree El-Amin. They talked to the Boyz, and there managers talked about how they act off stage.

June: On BET, they showed Brandy's Platinum Party. Nate wasn't there, but Wanya, Shawn, and Mike were there as her "security guards."

June: Boyz II Men made their second appearance on VH1's Naked Cafe. This time, they gave a tour of Stonecreek. But, only Nate, Shawn, and Wanya were there to do the tour. They even showed their cars. Nate's car paint was chipping. There is even a scary story about Stonecreek. They showed those three member's personal offices, the remix of "Vibin'" being made, people that work at Stonecreek, and the various studios there.

June: At the first ever Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, Boyz II Men won two awards, and sang "Yesterday"

June: At the MTV Movie Awards, Boyz II Men sang "Water Runs Dry." The highlight for them that night was Jim Carrey.

June: MTV had a segment on the Motown Cafe in New York, a few months before it was actually built. They talked to Boyz II Men, and Shawn was asked what they thought about Bob Dole dissing old rap artists. He basically said that he should live now, not in the past since he dissed Ice-T and the Ghetto Boys who have not been around very much.

June: VH1 had a Honors Profile on Boyz II Men. It basically showed some clips from videos, and them talking about Big Brothers & Big Sisters of America.

June: At the VH1 Honors, Boyz II Men were recongnized for there work in the Big Brothers & Big Sisters of America They sang "Thank You," "Heal the World," and "We Are the World" with Michael Jackson.

July: MTV had a news story about the making of Wanya and Brandy's video for "Brokenhearted." Brandy informed MTV that she and Boyz II Men were always going to do a duet, either all four of them, or only one of them. Wanya was listening to her album on a plane and he liked "Brokenhearted," so that's how they decided to do that one for a duet. The setting of "Brokenhearted" is at Ohika Castle in Spring Hills, New York. Hype Williams picked the castle because the owner was willing to let them ruin the floors and the walls with water and paint to make the video like a dream. Since the water was on the floor, everyone had to have on boots.

July: Extra! had a segment on Nate, Michael, and Shawn at a celebrity basketball game in Boston. A little boy, Lavell, got to meet them because he was apart of Big Brothers & Big Sisters of America. He presented them with plaques and shirts at halftime too. It was very sweet.

July: MTV had a special on the Budweiser Superfest, which Boyz II Men headlined. They showed it from hot Chicago, Illinois. All it showed of them was singing "Motownphilly." They were very hot and sweaty.

August: On Oprah, Wanya and Brandy sang "Brokenhearted." When Oprah interviewed the two, she asked Wanya what kind of broken heart he has had. He said he's 22 years old, and has his share of broken hearts.

September (?): Boyz II Men made a commercial for a Japanese car called a Toyota Carib. There were two different commercials for the car featuring them. In both commercials, they sang a bit of "Thank You," and at the end, they sang "Carib." In one of the commercials, it looks as if Nate was going to get run over by Wanya.

October (?): There was a promotion going on to have Boyz II Men perform at your school on Fox Kids. Boyz II Men were in the first commercial giving the details of how to enter, and what you get if you don't win.

October: MTV had it's first ever Bootleg, which looks at popular artists who are on tour. The songs they showed were, "Little Things," "On Bended Knee," "50 Candles," "I'll Make Love to You," "Water Runs Dry," "Motownphilly," and "End of the Road." It showed them in their HUGE tour bus, them changing between songs, Wanya lifting weights, and Wanya breathing a vocal inhanser.

November (?): Mike was on BET talking about the talent show he did Philly. Mike's role for the grand prize winner if the talent is that good, he'll get them ready for the music biz.

November (?): Boyz II Men lip synched "One Sweet Day" with Mariah Carey on Hey, Hey It's Saturday in Australia.

November: Mariah Carey had a special concert. Boyz II Men sang "One Sweet Day", and Wanya did "I'll Be There" with her. It also showed behind the scenes at the "One Sweet Day" video shoot, which they all acted very silly at.

November: On VH1's Last Word, they showed Boyz II Men making "Vibin'." They really didn't talk to them, but it showed behind the scenes footage of them making the video.

November: On BET, they showed Boyz II Men making "Vibin'." Some girl named Rachel who works at BET was in the video gave the tour. Wanya said that we wanted to get some beautiful women, so they went to Philly, New York, and then we got Rachel. Rachel didn't know who she would do her part with until she asked Mike who told her Shawn would be his girlfriend. So, she goes to Shawn and he says we are going to be taking a stroll down South Street, and she will be my girlfriend. Then they practice to walk, they walkind in unison, and then they hugged. It was so cute!

November: Inside Edition interviewed Wanya and Shawn on the set of the video, "Vibin' Remix." They asked them about touring, acting, and inspirations. Shawn said that there inspirations range from the Carpenters to Kermit the Frog.

November: The Disney Channel had a Going Home Special on Boyz II Men. It was a concert of theres at San Antonio, Texas at the Alamo Dome. The songs they showed were "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday," "U Know," "Little Things," "Your Love," "Please Don't Go," "On Bended Knee," "50 Candles," "I'll Make Love to You," "Water Runs Dry," "Thank You," "Motownphilly," and "End of the Road." Wanya said that the best thing about Boyz II Men is it's like a family and it's like having big brothers just like me. He also told Shawn in a "confessional booth" that he eats too many Skittles. They were very emotional on stage, and off they were very regular and down-to-earth.

December: VH1 had a short interview with the Boyz about their new book, Us II You. They were at Stonecreek, sitting on stools. Wanya bought people in his family toasters and a waffle irons. They were very silly. Nate had on a pair of fuzzy green slippers for some odd reason.

December: On MTV News, Nate said that they made Us II You to show the fans there lives, they felt that their fans didn't know much about their personal lives.

December: On BET, they showed Shawn making "Visions of a Sunset." He said he wrote the song, and he felt a little weird without his fellas there beside him. He also said that the movie reminded him of his old high school days.

December: Wanya & Brandy sang "Brokenhearted" on the Billboard Music Awards.

December: Boyz II Men co-hosted a New Years Eve Special in Orlando, Florida. They sang a bit of "Thank You," Shawn sang "Visions of a Sunset," and Wanya and Brandy did "Brokenhearted."
