Xander Harris / Nicholas Brendon

Of all the characters on the show, I think Xander is the one, I personally, can relate to. He seemingly spends his whole life trying to catch a star, Buffy. He has a crush on her like nobody could imagine and he's proved in past episodes that it doesn't matter what she looks like, he'd follow her anywhere. In fact, he's so in love with Buffy that he fails to see that Willow has her own crush on him.

As a supporting character, Nicholas plays the role perfectly and is overall very pleased with what he's doing, although he acts like he can't wait till he gets the chance to add a bit of heroics or machoism to his character. But, where Xander lacks in strength, he makes up for as the comedy relief. I think he's the only teenager you would ever meet that could turn blood-thursty vampires into a punchline. In his own way, his pathetic nature is what holds him (and sometimes the rest of them) together.

Even though Nicholas Brendon is relatively new to show business, he has proved he can hold his own. He originally started acting after a girl broke his nose, or so he says, and with the way he's moving, he probably owes her one. He first stared out simply, with a Clearasil commercial and then a few guest appearances on "Married... With Children" and "Dave's World". After that he starred in the pilot, "Secret Lives".

His debut in the motion picture world was a bit of a twist compared to what he's doing now, playing the bad guy in "Children of the Corn III". He's also has a nice list of live stage productions in L.A., in "The Further Adventures of Tom Sawyer", "Out of Gas on Lover's Leap", and "My Own Private Hollywood". And amazingly enough, he ran into a time when he wasn't getting acting jobs, so what does he do? He spent that time as a television production assistant, until he landed the role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, of course.
